Larry Myers Jr., best often called Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits on TLC’s “My 600-lb Life,” has died. He was 49.
A member of the family confirmed Tuesday to the Sun that Myers Jr. died of a heart attack.
“Hey Facebook Family. It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of my dear cousin Larry Myers,” Todd Darell, who claims to be Meyers’ cousin, wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.
“Lots of you realize him as Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits. Should you may also help us we might greatly appreciate it. Larry has fought the great fight. He has overcome a number of the biggest Challenges he has ever needed to face. Rest well Junior, you can be missed.”
The Post has contacted TLC and members of the family of Myers for comment.
Myers appeared in Season 10 Episode 13, titled “Larry’s Journey,” which first aired in January 2022 and offered this description: “For Larry, a second surgery means a second likelihood as a gospel singer.”
He earned the nickname “Mr. Buttermilk Biscuits” after going viral for singing a ditty about buttermilk biscuits at a chicken restaurant.
“I eat to comfort myself. Once I’m cooking, it’s the one time I’m completely happy, besides once I’m eating,” he said on the show, in response to Distractify.
“So it’s the time that I wish to sing, and I sing gospel. Because the remaining of the time, once I’m not eating, most of my thoughts are morbidly depressing.”
Myers gained 400 kilos five years after his first weight reduction procedure, which led him to “600-lb Life” obesity surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.
Myers weighed 940 kilos and was bedbound when he appeared on the show.
In an Instagram video post this past February, he said that, despite a detractor’s suggestion, it was not “the tip” for the fact star.
“There’s nothing too hard for God and Larry that God and Larry can’t do. Nothing!” he defiantly declared.
