A social media influencer has joined within the boycott of Bud Light by shooting at cases of the beer while claiming firms that “Go Woke, Go Broke.”
Bri Teresi, a model and social media influencer, shared a video of her shooting a table filled with Bud Light cans and Tampax Tampons lined up in front of Honey Birdette lingerie in a display of protest against the three firms.
“Go Woke, Go Broke,” Teresi shouted before unleashing her frustration on the products on a makeshift table on top of two barrels.
“I’m shooting at Honey Birdette lingerie, Tampax tampons & Budlight. These firms have all gone woke!” Teresi said in a reply to her original video. “Tampax tampons used a biological male to advertise their tampons. Honey Birdette used a biological male to model their lingerie. & y’all learn about Bud Light.”
Teresi was referencing Bud Light’s controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who got a customized can together with her face for the March Madness ad.
The model, who has garnered over one million followers on each Instagram and Twitter, has been vocal about brands which were using non-biological women to advertise products sold primarily for ladies.
Teresi, who has modeled for Honey Birdette previously, chastised the posh lingerie brand and refused to model for it anymore earlier this month after it ran an ad featuring a male model wearing a three-piece set of its high-end underwear.
“I used to be definitely surprised when Honey Birdette decided to post this image of a biological male modeling women’s lingerie,” Teresi told Fox Business earlier this week. “Once I saw this I used to be infuriated because I knew a lady had been robbed of the chance and a job and I find it absolutely hysterical that this brand claims to be ‘by women, for ladies’ yet is robbing women of opportunities.”
Teresi joins other influencers and politicians in publicly protesting Bud Light after its controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
On Monday, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the launch of “Real Women of Politics” koozies.
“Real women don’t should fake it,” the previous White House press secretary said within the release of the ad.
Singer Kid Rock was one in all the primary public figures to protest by lining up and shooting at several cases of Bud Light in his showing of displeasure with the beer’s ad campaign.
Country musician Travis Tritt followed Rock in protests by saying he can be “deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider”
Following the initial backlash, two top executives at Bud Light were placed on leave while “Ultra Right Beer” was expected to hit $1 million in sales only 12 days since starting operations.
