Forget better-half — he’s her brother-half.
TikTok user Vicky Papadakis, 22, is making a spectacle of her marriage after sharing with followers that her fiancé, Matt Kiatipis, also 22, is in truth her own stepsibling — and he or she doesn’t care what the haters say.
In various clips posted to her account, the Greek fashion model is thought to point out off her relative-lover — a basketball trainer — to the surprise and disgust of viewers. In a single video, Papadakis wrote, “When your step bro walks in but you forget he’s your ‘step bro.’”
The post featured the couple, who reside in Canada, looking lovingly at one another. In a separate snap, the pair do a coordinated dance as text over the image boasts of their marriage.
“I heard you married your step-bro,” she scribed across the video, referencing the questions her fans ask her.
“Yes, yes I did,” Papadakis answered within the clip. Comments below indicated followers were scratching their heads over the unorthodox relationship, and asked if the pair was even legal.
Said one, “I realize it’s not illegal nevertheless it just feels incorrect.”
“Each of you should go to therapy. WTF is incorrect with women as of late?” one other rebuked.
Nonetheless, just a few hopeless romantics got here to the defense of Papadakis and Kiatipis, considered one of whom reminded others that they’re not biological siblings. “In the event that they grew up together it’s weird if not y’all need to sit back.”
“Am I weird? I don’t see anything incorrect with this,” one other agreed. “They aren’t blood related.”
Recently, a Finnish woman, Matilda Eriksson, also made headlines after tying the knot along with her stepbrother, Samuli. The 23-year-old woman and her 27-year-old man met at her mother’s fiftieth celebration. Eriksson’s mother married Samuli’s father in 2019.
“I responded instantly with passion,” Eriksson told Yahoo! News of their first meeting. “It took us two weeks to start out dating after that and he principally moved in with me instantly. It felt good and natural immediately.”
She noted that a few of their friends were hesitant in regards to the relationship, but her mom reassured her that the connection was right.
“A few of our friends were first a bit doubtful and type of judging.”
“My mom told me to do whatever I felt was probably the most right in that moment, putting every little thing else aside and to follow my heart, and that led me to marry Samuli,” Eriksson explained.
“We each have been in just a few long relationships before but never felt like this with anyone.”
