He rode off into the sunset — without her.
An Australian woman claims her American ex-husband ghosted her someday after securing an Australian partner visa.
Isabelle Glastonbury, 31, said she met the unidentified Texan in Dallas in 2015 and got engaged one 12 months later, relocating to the land down under in 2018.
They cemented their union in a dream wedding in Palm Beach to the tune of $50,000, which her family reportedly covered.
But their honeymoon was short-lived — he allegedly skedaddled in January 2021 after receiving his visa, which Glastonbury’s parents reportedly paid $10,000 to acquire.
“I got home and literally 90% of his stuff had disappeared,” Glastonbury told Every day Mail Australia in a story published Friday. “I had this sinking feeling.”
She recalled attempting to log onto his immigration accounts, but she was locked out, her bank cards were drained, and her number was blocked. The crestfallen bride said none of her calls or messages went through.
“He ghosted everyone — all of our mutual friends, one of the best man from our wedding and his family, no-one knew where he was,” she said.
Upon reflection, she realized he had turn out to be “distant and commenced disappearing at night,” despite proposing relocating to Queensland and starting a family together.
“I felt like I used to be married to an entire stranger,” she explained, adding, “I don’t know what his plan was, none of it made sense.”
“He was my best friend, my ride or die,” she continued. “He fooled everyone, including me.”
She insists the Department of Immigration and Border Protection didn’t help her cause.
“So many individuals reported him to immigration and nothing happened,” she claimed.
Glastonbury said she has not spoken along with her ex since an encounter in February 2021, when he allegedly said he “needed to be single.”
“I believe we got married, he got over it and was too chickens-–t to say anything to my face, but just desired to stay in Australia,” she mused.
She said a friend recently informed her that her ex had remarried “almost a 12 months to the day we officially divorced.”
Glastonbury, meanwhile, has since moved on along with her highschool sweetheart, Max, with whom she welcomed 3-month-old son Mason.
Now that she’s “in a great place,” she’s sharing her story to warn others who’ve turned a blind eye to their spouse’s suspicious behavior.
“Don’t be blind, because I’m sure I could have seen the signs before this happened and I just ignored it, you never really know who you’re sleeping next to,” she advised.
