Oops, she did it again — she fooled people into considering she was Britney Spears.
Allegra DuVal, 35, from Virginia Beach, said she’s been in comparison with Britney Spears her whole life and decided to capitalize on her looks.
DuVal has made $25,000 traveling the US as a lookalike dancer who lip-syncs, South West News Service reported. She doesn’t sing, but she’s studied ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical dancing since she was 3 years old. She’s had the dignity of performing alongside Nelly, Deadmau5, David Guetta, and Skrillex at nightclubs and festivals as knowledgeable dancer.
She first performed as Britney during Dancer Pride in 2018 and was professionally booked for the primary time as a Britney lookalike for a party in 2021.
“I’ve been told my whole life I resembled her,” she said.
“I used to be 10 years old when she got here out with ‘Baby One More Time’ and I’ve been a fan ever since,” she added
She’s yet to satisfy her pop idol nevertheless it pays to seem like her. Her favorite songs to bop to are “Work B—h” and “Slave 4 U.”
DuVal makes around $3,000 for a one-night performance. The price also covers her travel expenses. She also makes money by posting lookalike content for brands on social media.
“After my first few performances I began making costumes, built a web site, and commenced promoting myself as a Britney performer,” she said.
“Now I’ve been to love 30 different places across the country performing to her hits,” she added.
DuVal said her job is quite a bit harder than people may realize due to the time she spends, “prepping hair and costumes, maintaining my spray tan, nails and makeup and learning choreography.”
She has two gigs per thirty days but spends weeks planning for every show. She said her dancing profession gave her the talents she needed to maintain up together with her demanding schedule.
“Because I even have been knowledgeable dancer for a few years, I used to be already used to keeping my nutrition and fitness up — I really like to work out, be fit and eat well. I also love wearing makeup and being tanned too, so it really works out,” she said
“The one thing that generally is a chore is the travel — I can spend 17 hours traveling for one 15-minute performance,” she added. Nevertheless, around 75% of her gigs are in California.
