She cries at weddings — even 28 years after the actual fact.
The heartwarming and hilarious moment a Gen Z girl lets the tears flow while watching an old clip of her parents exchanging vows within the Nineties has gone viral, because the viewer realizes her mother and father “had lives” and looked “so glad” before giving birth to her.
TikTok user Kacey uploaded the 35-second clip, showing her older sister as she sits and sobs over video of mom and pop saying their “I do’s.”
“We’re watching our parents’ wedding, and he or she’s crying,” she explained firstly of the post, which has racked up greater than 3.5 million views.
“They were so beautiful, and so they were so young and youthful and in love,” her sister wails because the camera pans from the TV to the couch.
“After which we happened,” Kacey joked.
“And we ruined them!” her sister agreed along with her hands over her face. “Now they should cope with anxious, disabled kids.”
Kacey later added that she is autistic and her sister suffers from type 1 diabetes.
“Oh my God!” she continued. “They’d lives before us … they appear so glad.”
The post has received greater than 3,200 comments, with people laughing over the video and the ladies’ response. Many hastened to guarantee the wired siblings that they’d not “ruined” their parents.
“As a dad, our children were the beginning of our greatest life,” one user commented.
“The empathy is good, but as a parent, I can assure you that you just didn’t smash them,” one other agreed. “Our youngsters coming GAVE us our greatest lives.”
In a series of follow-up posts, Kacey explained their parents have been married for nearly three a long time, and are very much still in love.
Kacey then turned the camera on her parents and asked them a series of questions on their marriage and parenthood.
“Our marriage is great,” their mom said within the clip, insisting their lives were “absolutely” higher due to their daughters.
“I wouldn’t change it for the world,” their dad agreed. “I like being a woman dad.”
She added their parents had watched the unique video and located it “very funny,” but she didn’t record their response.
“They love being our parents,” her sister quipped. “I used to be just being emotional and dramatic.”
