Elon Musk emailed Twitter staff on Friday asking that any employees who write software code report back to the tenth floor of Twitter’s office in San Francisco at 2 p.m., in line with an email reviewed by Reuters.
The billionaire said in a follow-up email, “I’d appreciate it in the event you could fly to SF to be present in person,” adding that he could be at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters until midnight and would return Saturday morning.
Musk ordered employees to email him a summary of what their software code has “achieved” previously six months, “together with as much as 10 screenshots of essentially the most salient lines of code.”
“There will probably be short, technical interviews that allow me to higher understand the Twitter tech stack,” Musk wrote in the sooner memo.

He said he would attempt to speak with distant employees by video. Musk also said that only individuals who cannot physically get to the corporate’s headquarters or have a family emergency could be excused.
Lots of of Twitter employees were estimated to have decided to quit the beleaguered social media company following a Thursday deadline from Musk that staffers enroll for “long hours at high intensity,” or leave.
In his first email to Twitter employees this month, Musk said, “We’re also changing Twitter policy such that distant work isn’t any longer allowed, unless you have got a selected exception.”
He added, “Managers will send the exceptions lists to me for review an approval.”
