That was a grimy trick!
British builders’ merchant manager Gary Stephenson, 38, desired to welcome the brand new neighboring automotive wash business in an unforgettable way. So he roped in his friend Chris Peacock, 32, to provide the performance of a lifetime.
A video posted last month on TikTok shows a automotive wash worker opening the trunk of a automotive as an almost naked Peacock rolls out with a gag in his mouth and his wrists certain together.
The astounded employee jumps back in shock because the panicked-looking “kidnapping victim” runs away to the nearby road in East Yorkshire, England.
The 30-second clip, captioned “Just kidnapped my mate,” is a runaway hit with 1.1 million views.
“Gary managed to speak me into it. We bounced ideas off one another, and next thing I do know I’m within the underpants on the automotive wash,” Peacock told SWNS.
“On the solution to the automotive I used to be pondering, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ As soon because the boot opened, I believed, ‘It’s my time to shine,’” he added.
Stephenson gets out of the automotive and flashes the automotive wash employee and his colleagues a smile to allow them to comprehend it was all a prank — while Peacock stood by the roadside for 10 minutes as drivers mocked him.
“I didn’t know if he was going to spray me, so I just ran, but then I discovered myself in the course of the road for about 10 minutes,” Peacock said of the worker’s response.
“People were driving past laughing at me. I used to be freezing cold and pondering, ‘How did I find yourself within the situation?’”
“I laugh each time I see it,” the nice sport proclaimed. “It never gets old. It’s good to see people laughing about it.”
Stephenson revealed what drove him to hatch this plan.
“I am going through the automotive wash plenty of times, and after they were opening my boot to wash, I believed it’d be funny if someone jumped out,” he explained.
“I used to be quite nervous about the way it was going to go. I don’t know these lads, so I didn’t know the way they were going to take it. They might have kicked off or rang the police,” he noted.
Stephenson says Facebook removed the automotive wash video, and he believes it’s because site managers thought it was footage of an actual kidnapping.
But audiences on TikTok loved it, with a user claiming to be the owner of the establishment declaring it “the most effective prank that has happened in my automotive wash.”
SWNS contacted the automotive wash owner for comment.
“Love how the opposite one just [keeps] on cleansing the automotive,” one commenter laughed.
One other professed: “The more I watch it the funnier it gets.”
“One in all the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Pure genius,” one person applauded.
A fourth added: “That might have made their day. Absolute genius.”
