Austin Wells had his best offensive performance of the spring, going 2-for-3 with a double, home run and even a steal.
Though Wells is thought for his bat, Aaron Boone has been encouraged by his defensive improvements behind the plate.
“I’ve been so impressed with how good of a catcher I feel he’s becoming,” Boone said.
