The markets have been interestingly crazy I cleared a $350,000 mortgage in 5 months literally from my stocks portfolio. Forgive my ignorance, but if there is a complete, and I mean complete collapse of absolutely everything, and I mean everything, unless you put your money into something that you own, every organization will be nonexistent except for those controlled by the government, so how are you going to get your $?
2ndly, the government will have final say on what form of currency is acceptable for all transactions, what the currency that you have is unacceptable, and, playing devil's advocate, will not permit you to exchange? After all, why would they if yours is now worthless?
What I see coming, there will be absolutely no freedom, not like what we have known.
