It left everyone wheely uncomfortable.
“Wheel of Fortune” fans were left gobsmacked after one contestant failed to unravel a puzzle that was missing just one letter.
In Monday’s episode, the three contestants were challenged to unravel a puzzle within the category, “What are you doing?”
After solving nearly the whole puzzle, the show’s frontrunner, who was identified as Jessica, was left with “Dining within the dining _ar.”
“I’d like to unravel it, Pat,” said Jessica nervously to “Wheel” icon Pat Sajak,76. “Dining within the dining jar?”
Jessica’s incredibly mistaken answer sent an enormous gasp throughout the studio audience and even caused Sajak’s trusty letter-turner Vanna White, 66, to present a pitied expression.
“No,” stated Sajak, who has been subjected to quite a few wild guesses throughout his time on the show.
The subsequent person to spin selected the letter “C” and managed to finish the puzzle. which read: “Dining within the dining Automobile.”
“Yeah, there could also be a C in there,” sneered Sajak, who’s retiring at the top of the present season. “Now it’s only a matter of reading it.”
Several X (formerly Twitter) users were sent spinning uncontrolled following Jessica’s failure to unravel.
“This woman said Dining within the Dining JAR on Wheel of Fortune. wtf is a DINING JAR SISTEREN,” laughed one person.
“Please!!! Don’t approach me, or otherwise hassle me while I’m dining within the dining jar,” giggled a second user.
“Dining within the dining jar?! These individuals are morons,” slammed a 3rd person.
A fourth person on X claimed that they were rooting for Jessica until her random answer, which “sent my jaw to the ground.”
The blunder comes as Sajak enters his final season of the enduring game show before it’s taken over by “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest.
White, who finally managed to receive a raise after 18 years of being on the show, will remain by her trusted puzzle board alongside Seacrest.
Sajak, who served because the syndicated show’s host since 1981, announced his retirement in June.
“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our forty first season, which begins in September, shall be my last,”he tweeted on the time. “It’s been a beautiful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the approaching months. Many due to you all.”
