Melanie Paradis, former deputy campaign director to Erin O’Toole, and former Conservative leadership candidate Rudy Husny joined Power & Politics Monday to discuss what the record Conservative membership numbers mean for the federal party’s leadership race.

What about Scheer, now there was a leader for ya .
Let's remember what it means for federal politics in Canada after one party had formed government for going on 8 years. With this in mind, would it be surprising to see a change in next federal election?
It doesn’t matter even if it’s 1 million. Only If a good number of them are from suburbs like the GTA, the conservatives have a good chance.
Lets listen to downtown elitist "conservative" insiders give backhanded anti-Pierre innuendo for 8 minutes. Keep clutching your pearls. Pierre will win, you know where the door is.
It means that the Liberal plant Jean Charest is toast.
Quebec is running away from the liberal provincial and federal pierre polievre is our man
If COVID comes back the party is hurt bad. The mood is against the party of oil. Like it or not Charest is the best bet and the Polleivire is the worst.
They're called conservatives because they weren't allowed to call themselves the good guys
Means we are tired of the f00king left
Nothing will change our country will still be divided and it’s an embarrassment because they say we have a “strong” nation, yet it’s full of cowards and grown adults that act like little kids that don’t get their way.
One thing about Québécois they vote for say it like it is politician’s and I respect that. Levesque, Parizeau, Bouchard, Blanchett, and legault. They took a chance on Charest. Everyone makes mistakes. This time I think most will support Poilievre.
Whatever it means – by 2025 it’ll be too late for Canada. Maybe our high leader and Politbüro won’t allow any elections, or maybe we have Russian or North Korean elections, where the leader miraculously gets 99% of the votes …
Further proof Canada is headed for fascism.
It means the Liberals are gonna get trounced in 2025.
Polliverre wont win
It will be nice to have a series of documentaries on the RISE OF THE SOCIALISM AND MARXISME IN CANADA BETWEEN THE GENERATION "Z" AND MILLENIALS, IN THE CANADIAN SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES AND INSIDE THE SOCIETY.
"it's a battle of miscommunication". More accurately it's a battle of misinformation a conservative party favourite.
Liberals are done
So big numbers for party membership doesn't mean that my fellow Canadian's of the Conservative persuasion will vote for Skippy pp. I hope people see him for what he is and what he stands for.
Trump north isn't the answer. You may not be happy with the present government but it sure beats American-style trump lunacy.
I hope Poilievre wins because the majority of Canadians do NOT want trump lite in charge of the country. The more extreme the PC party swings, the better it is for the libs and NDP. Also, the next federal election is years away and many things will depend on what happens to American democracy. If it falls, that will not be good for the PC’s.
It means people do not like your Justin Boy
It means Pierre Poilievre for Prime Minister
Conservative is a govt in waiting
