It’s time to color the town red — and the skies, too.
Airplane passengers who wear red is perhaps convalescing service on airplanes in comparison to their non-red-clad peers, based on travel advice blog Airplane Suggestions.
“Airline staff may subconsciously perceive passengers in red as more vital or of upper status, resulting in enhanced customer support experiences,” blog author Stephanie Lee wrote.
“So, if you wish to receive top-notch treatment during your travels, consider incorporating red into your airport attire,” she added.
The blog cites something called “The Red Dress Effect,” a phenomenon during which women wearing red are deemed more desirable. There are studies to back this up, too.
In line with a study from The University of Rochester published within the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology in 2008 entitled Romantic Red: Red Enhances Men’s Attraction to Women, red makes men feel more drawn to women.
Red can even make you appear more powerful and dominant, based on a study from 2007 published in the Journal of Evolutionary Psychology.
The colour red may even increase alertness and response time, based on a study from the University of Rochester published in Science Every day in 2011.
That’s why some say that looking like an inflight snack may get you your pretzels and a bit faster and will even ease your airport security process.
“Wearing the powerful color red to the airport can transform your travel experience in lots of positive ways. With red’s ability to grab attention, incite feelings of attraction, and project confidence and authority, airline staff and security personnel view red-clad passengers more favorably,” Lee wrote.
Wearing red clothing on the airport merely scratches the surface when fascinated by how you can incorporate the colour red into your day by day life.
If you wish to nail your look and increase your probabilities of getting a date, painting your fingernails red is perhaps enough, based on TikTokers who put the “red nail theory” to the test.
The hashtag #rednailtheory has amassed greater than 2.2 million views on TikTok, with 1000’s saying red nails have spiced up their dating lives.
“I’ve never been asked out on so many dates or complimented a lot as I even have prior to now two or three weeks with these nails,” user Melisse Martineau gushed in a single video, flashing her red manicure to the camera.
“I’ve been asked out on 5 – 6 dates,” she continues within the clip, with greater than 759,000 views. “I don’t know what it’s but [the red nail theory] is real.”
