Angus Cloud’s “Euphoria” co-stars, in addition to other celebrities, are mourning the 25-year-old actor following his death Monday.
“There was nobody quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to depart us so soon. He also struggled, like lots of us, with addiction and depression,” the HBO show’s creator, Sam Levinson, told The Post in a press release Monday.
Levinson, 38, concluded: “I hope he knew what number of hearts he touched. I loved him. I at all times will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”
Javon Walton — who portrayed Ashtray, the little brother of Cloud’s character, Fezco, a fan-favorite drug dealer, in “Euphoria” — captioned an Instagram picture of themselves with “Rest easy brother❤️🕊️.”
The 17-year-old actor shared one other snap on his Instagram Story, writing, “Eternally family ❤️.”
The controversial “Euphoria” premiered in 2019 with a forged including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, and Dominic Fike.
While walking down a street in Manhattan, Cloud was discovered by a casting agent who encouraged him to audition for “Euphoria.”
He did, later admitting he first believed it was a scam.
An HBO spokesperson told The Post on Monday: “We’re incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved a part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
Cloud’s family announced his death Monday.
While they didn’t share a reason behind death, they did reveal Cloud recently lost his father, Conor Hickey, after a transient cancer battle and suffered mental health issues.
The Oakland Fire Department told The Post that it responded to Cloud’s Oakland home around 11:30 a.m. Monday for a medical emergency.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, the spokesperson said.
Per protocol, the body was left within the care of the police department and coroner.
TMZ reported that Cloud’s mom made the 911 call and mentioned a “possible overdose” after she reportedly found him with out a pulse.
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing generally is a reminder to others that they usually are not alone and mustn’t fight this on their very own in silence,” the family’s statement read, partly. “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everybody. We ask for privacy at the moment as we’re still processing this devastating loss.”
