It’s absolutely bullshit when they say do what the robbers tell you….now if they have you in a compromised position then yes do what they say however watch extremely close for an opening to strike and strike with absolute disregard for their life….how do you think murder victims are killed, many of them did exactly what the perpetrators told them to do and look where it got them….now if the incident is only just beginning as this one was then absolutely strike first and without mercy…..if you’ve never been in a situation like this then you have no business talking, this cop has probably never seen combat or he’s just buying into that nonsense he was told, I understand wanting people to be safe and believing doing what a robber tells you to is the best way forward and sometimes it is but ultimately in most cases I’d say it’s not….I’ve been in situations like this and I can tell you by listening to the perpetrator did absolutely nothing for me or my loved ones and it was only when I decided to do something that it got resolved….don’t put your faith in the police, and don’t put your faith in someone letting you go without injury while simultaneously holding you captive.

When cops/media tell shop owners/employees in television to just let them take what they want; All this does is give the potential perpetrators a false sense of security that society will just let them waltz in and take what they want, which ends up getting them killed when they meet with an armed victim. They think they are doing the right thing, but they are setting up these potential perpetrators to get seriously injured or even worse death, with them thinking a robbery will be easy and harmless.
Cops don't like it when people take matters into their own hands because if that were the case, crime would dip to levels that would have people realize we don't need them. Or at the very least, their huge budgets would be limited which means they wouldn't get to buy all those expensive toys they will never get to use, since they are always late to the party. Armed citizenry > police protection, ALWAYS.

The kid was unarmed and made a fucking dumb decision by robbing a store. he was completely in armed and never attacked the store owner. i understand self defense but i feel bad for that kid. was probably raised wrong and running with the wrong friends who clearly didn’t care about him. you can hear when he says “i’m dead” that he didn’t expect something like that to happen and he was shocked are scared. he is a kid who made the wrong choice but i can’t help but feel bad for him he probably never intended on hurting the store owner but you never know. we need raise people right and let them know this is what can happen when you make the decision
