Forget in regards to the letters, what in regards to the numbers?
“Wheel of Fortune” letter-turner Vanna White is negotiating her contract to remain on the beloved game show past the 2023-24 season, Puck News reported Thursday.
She allegedly wants a Pat Sajak-sized paycheck, too, because the longtime host is ready to retire at the top of the upcoming Season 41.
Puck claims that White, 66, makes $3 million per season — and has for 18 years, receiving bonuses not raises during that point.
She appears to have hired Bryan Freedman, who represented embattled short-lived “Jeopardy!” host Mike Richards, with Puck reporting Freedman is “hitting the pay discrepancy issue hard with Sony, in addition to possible gender discrimination with respect to White’s salary.”
In 2016, Forbes reported that Sajak, 76, earned $15 million a 12 months from the show.
Their roles are different, to make certain. White leaves the daunting task of interacting with contestants to Sajak, along with his cringy interactions recently raising eyebrows.
The Post has contacted reps for “Wheel” and White for comment.
The report comes after an unidentified insider allegedly told the Each day Mail last week that White is scared she’ll be forced out of her role once Sajak retires.
The duo have been the faces of “Wheel” for greater than 40 years, as Sajak joined the show in 1981 while White got here aboard one 12 months later.
Fans are rooting for her to take over Sajak’s job as other celebrities, including Andy Cohen, Whoopi Goldberg, and Stephen A. Smith, have declared they’d love the chance.
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and Sajak’s daughter Maggie, who joined “Wheel” in 2021 as a social media correspondent, have also been rumored as contenders.
As for Sajak, he already has a latest gig because the chairman for Hillsdale College, a personal, conservative college in Michigan.
