DETROIT – The United Auto Staff union will announce expanded strikes at General Motors, Ford Motor and Stellantis plants if the perimeters don’t make serious progress in negotiations by 10 a.m. ET Friday, based on an individual aware of the matter.
The brand new union-imposed deadline comes per week after UAW announced it might expand its initial Sept. 15 strikes at assembly plants of every of the Detroit automakers to 38 additional parts and distribution locations for GM and Stellantis. The UAW didn’t expand its strikes at Ford, citing progress in those talks.
