Now, some airports in Europe are limiting the amount of passengers that can fly, including London’s Heathrow airport. In the U.S., claims for lost, damaged, delayed or ripped luggage are up 135 percent over the last year. And to think how US airports are designed – anyone (even non-passengers) can just get in to the arrivals area and pretend to be former passengers looking for their luggage, and steal them.
This is what happens when you close the world down an flat off employees and now trying to rehire employees at the bare minimum wage
So…both airlines and oil companies are making RECORD PROFITS…in the midst of all of this. We bailed out airlines, so they could retain employees, but they fired them anyway. Now reporting record profits.
Here in the USA people have refinanced their homes to be able to afford to travel. That will end shortly and soon the bankruptcies will begin. Housing prices will fall massively and other goods such as fuel will drop back down below what should have been normal numbers. Maybe another year at max!!!

The last time I travelled from Canada to the U.S. the tag was ripped off my luggage and the same happened to someone else from our group. Air Canada baggage handlers really don't care about your luggage.

The Airlines Unions were given billions of dollars covid relief money to furlough workers and pilots basically get paid to sit at home. Instead the Unions gave early retirement to pilots and workers and laid-off others. So where did the billions of dollars in covid relief go.

I haven’t flown for more then 5 years! Hate flying and will not travel out of the country! It’s even worse in Europe with their stupid testing and moronic policies! This is what happens when you let bureaucrats elitist, and leftist politicians run the world!!

Airlines have analytics to determine flight demand, how to overcharge for seats, and how to overbook flights. Plus travel and Covid restrictions have been gradually lifting for at least 6 months. The entire industry is about forecasting. They must have seen this coming.

The way I see economic issues these days is pretty straightforward, and especially complaints by customers:
Put in an application yourself for the jobs seen as problematic.
Had my bag delayed for 3 days. No response from Delta

Explains why my “air mail shipment” of auto parts from Germany has never arrived, and the vendors aren’t answering their phones. Heck of a lot less consequential than lost checked luggage though.
I travelled from the US to Europe on the July 4th for a month long work trip. My carry on bag was checked due to the flight being at capacity. My bag contained all of my work supplies and vital medication. I am now abroad, without my belongings, withdrawing from medication. This has truly been a nightmare. It has been 14 days, and I am yet to receive an update on the location of my bag.

This happened to my son and his girlfriend bags lost transiting through Athens airport. Found three weeks later on their way out. Chaotic don’t bother travelling till next summer when hopefully they’ll be better organised.
What has gone wrong? is that the money is worthless….
