It doesn't take an economic genius to figure out that the Left wants America to collapse, so they can usher in Socialism, i.e., Communism. They don't want or like the free country that America has been, because it is in competition with their world view. The difficulty for them is that there is danger of revolt while they are wrecking America. This is why they are so ruthless in going after the January 6th crowd for daring to object to the dubious 2020 election.
The GOP is about policy. The Dems. are about maintaining a narrative regardless of what Americans want. Or regardless of objective reality for that matter.
