Is it not right to subsidises government schools just for private schools to reduce fees. Schools of privates are private owners, usually founded some parts by charitable organisations, they have their own support scheme. Their academia is additional comparing to government schools and so the quality is unique in comparison. Private education have nothing to do with government. So why would you take off from private and make government schools pay. Does not sound right.
Equality concerns and with government schools it is also wrong to say students have the means to pay. It is not right, it is either all pay for their feedings or pay little part of the fees or there is no fees at all. Or pay for their materials.

Good questions to clear our understanding
Good contribution but I disagree on that point. Let the private run education that does not mean anything. Why private?. because they or parents have the means?. Has government in any means stop anyone opening private school?. Of cause private sectors are still running their business. In any cases, weither or not we can not avoid government sector otherwise the entire system will not be there.
