Joan Collins thinks Hollywood has modified for the more serious.
The legendary actress, 90, claimed Tinseltown lost its spark over modern-day cancel culture — and says it’s had an effect on star-studded parties.
“The parties I am going to now are sort of… dull,” she told Best magazine. “They’re red carpet things wherein everybody does behave. In the event you don’t behave now you’ll get canceled.”
The “Dynasty” actress, who was born in London but has resided within the US since she was 20 years old, has worked with a few of the world’s biggest names in film and tv throughout her glittering profession.
Yet she’s adamant that there are only 4 stars left within the industry: Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and Keanu Reeves.
“I believe Nicole Kidman is fabulous and Margot Robbie is certainly one of the nice beauties,” she told the publication. “Particularly Brad, he’s like certainly one of the movie stars of the Golden Age.”
Collins is thought for her outspoken nature, and has often let her opinions on the state of Hollywood be known in past interviews.
Talking to The Latest York Times in March 2022, Collins touched on how attitudes toward men within the industry have modified following the #MeToo movement.
“Sadly, I believe that now young men are affected by being labeled toxically masculine for this reason rise of anti-maleness,” Collins told the outlet.
“I feel that girls are equal to men in each way,” she added. “Except physical strength. People say you didn’t burn your bra, you wear lipstick. So what? I’m very happy with being a girl.”
Elsewhere within the interview, Collins touched on society’s use of gender-neutral terms.
“What’s unsuitable with mother? What’s unsuitable with woman? Girl? I don’t like having that word taken away,” she said on the time.
While Collins claims that Hollywood has undergone a striking change, the identical can’t be said for her appearance.
The actress previously revealed that she “hasn’t had any ‘work’ done” despite most stars going under the knife nowadays.
What’s more, she claimed to have tried Botox just once, saying she “screamed and left the surgery.”
