Hurricane Ian, after it ripped Cuba and Puerto Rico, landed in Florida and caused devastation. The damage is being estimated to be at $50 billion and can take years to rebuild. Our nation for many part has neglected and been in denial of climate change. The bizarre floods in Kansas and Kentucky, the unusually high heat through the summer, more fire damages in Colorado and California and damages internationally on account of the climate change should wake us up. The response to after the very fact or effect should stop and we as a nation should aggressively take steps to mitigate and eliminate the risks of climate change. If not for us, let’s do it for posterity.
The 2 senators from Florida, Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis never let a day go by without insulting and demeaning President Biden and letting everybody understand how bad the federal government is.
While the 2 senators are a part of the federal government, getting paid and getting all of the luxurious advantages, make it a degree that the federal government needs to be cut. They were instrumental in passing the 2017 irresponsible tax cut contributing to the increased federal debt. The federal government is borrowing to fulfill the tax cuts. That they had no issue with Federal Reserve releasing annually $1.4 trillion under Quantitative Easing as most of their corporate buddies and billionaires were benefitting from it. It was easy money. Each senators have opposed bailing out or helping other states which were hit by hurricanes up to now.
Scott would really like to shut down the IRS and each senators don’t like their billionaire buddies paying any taxes and are OK with them evading taxes. They opposed the Infrastructure bill and the Inflation Reduction Act bill. Each bills would improve the infrastructure, fight climate change, put money into semiconductor chips to enhance manufacturing and technology, put money into alternative energy, arrange EV charging stations across the country, lowering of prescription drug costs, capping insulin costs to $35 co-pay for seniors on Medicare and lots of more.
Gov. DeSantis, Senators Scott and Rubio don’t imagine within the sciences and to them there isn’t a climate change happening and all the pieces is a hoax. The devastation by Hurricane Ian won’t be the last one. There shall be more to come back. DeSantis takes pride in human trafficking, sending migrants to Massachusetts in a chartered flight with Floridian taxpayer funds. If migration and immigration is an issue, he isn’t solving the issue neither is engaged in policy solutions to deal with the issue. But using the issue to advertise himself in his campaign for governor and to be a future presidential candidate. He and the senators have been declaring how Biden is liable for the inflation and the way his actions are hurting family budgets across the country. DeSantis as a congressman was a part of the Tea Party caucus. He voted against federal aid to states hit by hurricanes and natural disaster, and is a robust believer in smaller government.
A number of insurance firms have been leaving Florida for a while and stopped underwriting any insurance coverage. Those which have underwritten are actually crying because their losses could hurt or bankrupt them. While I don’t imagine it to be true of insurance firms going bankrupt, they are going to must pay out big. They’re good at raising premiums and collecting payments and can’t afford the considered paying any claims. It’s being reported there are lots of Floridians without insurance coverage. Floridians don’t imagine in climate change and have an aversion to federal government.
President Biden announced that the federal government will cover 100% of the prices. WHY? Recent York Times and other news agencies reported that DeSantis was very thankful in a phone call to Biden. DeSantis has modified his tone and is being nice to President Biden, for the reason that hurricane. He called on President Biden and the federal government to supply relief and would really like to get all the assistance and aid. He’s being extremely nice to the FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell and is raving how good FEMA has been.
Reports are out on Wednesday that the federal borrowing has hit $31 trillion and is near the limit of $31.4 trillion. The games will begin on blaming. I agree with Senators Scott and Rubio, and Gov. DeSantis and the Floridians who don’t imagine within the federal government that the federal government shouldn’t be burdened with rescuing states hit by hurricanes. So, Florida, you’re on your individual. Don’t call us and can call you (most definitely not) if anything is required.
