A New Jersey family is suing a funeral home for $50 million alleging that they switched the body of their 93-year-old mother with a stranger. NBC News’ Steven Romo reports on how the family became suspicious when the woman in the casket appeared to be 20 years younger and had her own teeth while their mother wore dentures.

It was a terrible mistake but what a greedy family!
I do think that it would be shocking if they switched bodies but 50 million dollars worth of shock! Idiots.
Wow
Funeral Home bout to shut down.
😒😒 sad a** family
This reminds me of my uncle when my grandpa died and he pulled a scam on everyone and stole cash from the whole family that day on his fathers funeral day 😒 ughhh
I only have one question
You all don’t know what your mom or relative look like when looking at the body ❓ I am shocked that they look at this body and couldn’t tell it was their relative 😳 before that was mention I thought it was a closed casket service 😔 for 50 million 50 million 🤦🏾♀️I blame it on you all as well because you all look at this individual and couldn’t tell it wasn’t your relative🤷🏽♀️
I'm sorry for what happened to their mother but 50 million USD is too much…
This just made bat soup taste even worse
Is your mom gold?
That's a small claims court matter, get over yourselves
The funeral home took my grandpa's body to the wrong cemetery and it led to alot of confusion. He was a WW2 veteran so there was military people we needed to coordinate with so that made everything stressful.I guess I can understand some dissatisfication on the familys part They are entitled to be refunded for the cost of the funeral and maybe cost of distant family member's travel cost that they had to extended due to the mix up and any extra cost to the family due to the mix up makes sense. I don't know about 50 million though.
Why so much money I mean I would had been happy with 1million kinda greedy maybe They planning to open a restaurant lol
But the family didn’t say anything during the whole service?
50 million?! Good luck with that!
50 million? F*** off.
50 million? Really? The family didn't recognise their own family member? Way out of bounds.
I think it’s reasonable
The funeral home came to them & was concerned if there was a mistake.
..if this was Asia, they would have said nothing…
That's why the funeral home directors are always supposed to show you their loved ones before they go out for any service you have to say so if they look okay or not
So what happened at the viewing 🤔 👀 you didn't noticed that wasn't your mom. 50mil is really too much.
That’s too much money.
It’s unfortunate that this had happened because of someone’s negligence. But 50M is too much. Pls do not be greedy.
I'm sorry but I don't buy what these people are saying it looks to me like they're just taking advantage of a dead loved one trying to cash in with a lawsuit that is just despicable . They don't seem to be grieving as a matter of fact they appear to be only discussing what was well rehearsed with their lawyer before this media interview I bet this rarely and probably never has happened before with this Funeral Home and they want to go public with it like as if they're warning the world hey be careful with these people at the funeral home look what they did to us I'm sorry whatever I don't feel sorry for them one bit
😥😥😥😥⚰
Extremely interesting and informative!
She is Asian i would understand that it would be difficult to recognize her
They all look alike
That is a ridiculous amount to ask for.
50 mill? It's not that big of a deal
That's just dumb. Judge will give 'em $500 for having to come back and try again. You can't expect $50m for an honest mistake. That is like expecting Mc Donalds to give you a million bucks because they got your sandwich order wrong. This is America where your grief isn't worth sh*t
How did they even find out they buried the wrong person in the first place? Did they go dig 'em up?
A severed limb is only worth like $50k 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
