Fans thought Lambert was “Actin’ Up” for no reason.
Miranda Lambert stirred up controversy during her Las Vegas residency when she stopped mid-show to chastise a gaggle of ladies who were reportedly taking selfies during one among her more emotional songs.
In response to a TikTok video posted Sunday, which has received 909,000 views, Lambert, 39, was just a couple of bars into her song “Tin Man” when she spotted the seemingly rude concertgoers.
It was then the “White Liar” singer brought the show to a screeching halt.
“I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry,” Lambert said to her pianist. “These girls are fearful about their selfie and never listening to the song.”
“It’s pissing me off a bit bit,” continued the songstress. “Sorry, I don’t prefer it. In any respect. We’re here to listen to some country music tonight. I’m singing some country rattling music.”
Enraged by Lambert’s response, several fans got up and left the concert in protest, as heard within the audio of social media posts and indicated by reports from multiple music outlets.
“Let’s go — you don’t try this to fans,” one woman may be heard saying to her companions as they filed out of their seats.
The Post reached out to Lambert for comment.
Meanwhile, several TikTok users slammed the country star for what the declared rude behavior.
“Miranda didn’t even check with our Vegas audience between songs hardly,” scolded one TikTok user. “At all times in a mood. Fans can enjoy nonetheless they need. They paid.”
“Man no wonder Blake left her,” joked a second person referencing Lambert’s ex-husband Blake Shelton who she divorced in 2015.
“But perhaps they were taking the selfies or videos to recollect the occasion,” slammed a 3rd fan. “I feel she was out of line.”
Other social media users, nonetheless, agreed with Lambert.
“There’s on a regular basis on this planet to partake in those activities during her rowdier, more up-tempo numbers but during her sacred ballads just shut up and listen,” defended one fan. “Not exactly asking for much when there’s only a few on her setlist…”
” How will you even disrespect ‘Tin Man’ like this,” blasted a second person. “That is one among those songs which have gotten me through the toughest times of my life. Literally. I couldn’t stop crying long enough to even hold my phone if I desired to.”
“How could anyone talk during ‘Tin Man’? It’s so moving.” said a 3rd.
Lambert’s outburst comes after a string of several rowdy incidents at various concert events.
