Actress Melissa McCarthy revealed Friday that as a substitute of really drinking Hidden Valley Ranch within the hilarious 2011 “Saturday Night Live” sketch, the “Spy” star actually chugged a probiotic drink called Kefir.
“Once I give it some thought, I kinda really love ranch,” said “The Heat” star to Entertainment Weekly’s “3 Rounds” host Alexis Wilson. “So I don’t know that I couldn’t have just [drank ranch dressing] … but there’s a variety of logistics to that.”
McCarthy revealed that’s an attempt to search out an alternative to the condiment, she discovered Kefir.
The “Tammy” star joked that the diary drink isn’t that different from ranch “once you’re shotgunning it down your throat.”
In line with “The Little Mermaid” star, the complete “SNL” sketch was a version of something she wrote and performed while an element of the L.A. Groundling comedy troupe.
“On the time I used to be like, ‘This will probably be a terrific idea,’” recalled “The Heat” star. “After which doing it thrice per week, I used to be like, ‘Hmmm, that is difficult to get down the third time.’”
Within the segment entitled “Taste Test,” McCarthy appears as ranch super fan Linda who attempts to prove her love for the brand by trying out the brand new products alongside two other consumers.



Because the sketch progresses, Linda attempts to compete together with her fellow taste testers for a $50 money prize that is obtainable to the person with the “best comment” concerning the products.

“If people would laugh, I might do it more,” said McCarthy adding that her husband, Ben Falcone, asked her to “pull back” on the bit.
McCarthy recently revealed that she once worked on a project that made her “physically unwell.”
The beloved actress, who refused to disclose if the project was a television show or film, told The Guardian that the director “manipulated” everyone on set and caused several people to cry.
“My eyes were swelling up, I used to be absorbing all of this nuttiness,” she claimed. “There have been people weeping, visibly so upset by this one person.”
