A royal run-in.
Meghan Markle bumped into some Sussex fans out in Los Angeles — and stopped to take a selfie with them.
Journalist Jen Su and her friends spotted the duchess, 42, on their way out to eat on Thursday evening.
“Landed in LA and on our solution to dinner, we bumped into Meghan Markle,” Su captioned the snapshot on Instagram.
“Totally low-key and super friendly, nice conversation. #girlsnightout#meghanmarkle #losangeles,” she added.
Markle donned an easy fitted Polo Ralph Lauren Oversize Fit Striped Linen Shirt (that retails for $168.00) and aviator sunglasses.
The “Suits” alum and her husband, Prince Harry, left the rainy streets of England for the sunny shores of Montecito, California, in 2020.
Markle has been maintaining a tally of Hollywood for quite a while, as she signed with talent agency WME in April. Rumors have swirled of a serious Tinseltown comeback since penning her name on the dotted line.
“[Prince] Harry and Meghan have been busy with Invictus Games recently, but Meghan continues to be planning her Hollywood reinvention,” a source told Us Weekly on Thursday. “Meghan has a recent team round her, and so they’ve been strategizing about what mediums could have probably the most impact.”
The insider noted that regardless of the former actress does within the near future, it is going to “be rooted in giving back” and “philanthropy.”
Markle has since re-entered Hollywood since coming back to the States, together with her $100 million Netflix deal and Spotify contracts.
The couple’s Spotify deal ultimately failed because “consumers” weren’t “glad,” CEO Daniel Ek recently said during an interview with the BBC. The partnership, which ended on June 15, 2023, was price $20 million.
Harry, 39, and Markle will soon be jetting off to Latest York next week for World Mental Health Day. They can be attending their Archewell Foundation’s first-ever in-person event “Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age.”
Their visit to the Big Apple is the primary one since they were in an alleged “near catastrophic automotive chase” in May.
The event will showcase parents “who’ve experienced tragic loss connected to their child’s social media use,” in keeping with People.
Markle and Harry previously attended Gloria Steinem’s Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards earlier this summer in town. After the event, the pair — alongside Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland — were allegedly chased by paparazzi after leaving the awards show in an SUV.
“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” their spokesperson said on the time.
The NYPD, nonetheless, played down the situation. “The NYPD assisted the private security team protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” a spokesperson said in a press release. “There have been quite a few photographers that made their transport difficult. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there have been no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard.”
On the time, a source told the Post that there have been “no collision reports or 911 calls” and that the chase “definitely wasn’t two hours.”
