All this because Gadhafi wanted to create a currency and not let the central banks control the money supply.

Qaddafi's government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver … This gold was accumulated prior to the current rebellion and was intended to be used to establish a pan-African currency based on the Libyan golden Dinar. This plan was designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc (CFA)."

The status of economic distress in just about every Nation that borders the Mediterranean Sea, indicates that the illusion of Capitalism as some social form of Social Order that serves the planet well, has some questions to answer?
Who is demonstrating positive figures as the use of Fiat Dollars now faces a judgement day, and the GDP seems to be inadequate to cover the bills?
Does the European Union exchanging Checks between German and French banks, create an illusion of a Positive GDP?
The supposedly wealthy US is contemplating a couple quarters of negative GDP figures as the Bills begin to pile up in the Mailbox.
Sri Lanka seems to show that the illusion only last for a little while, and after the US spent a couple decades attempting to bribe former Soviet Nations to join NATO, the costs of maintaining an illusion of prosperity seem daunting? The ability to shut the Homeless up and prevent some Bonus Army from camping on the White House Lawn, needs more than Cheap Smack to stop this illusion from going "Pop"?
None dare contemplate the end of Capitalism, but the conditions that ask, as Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks said, "Where's the Money?"

When the protesters attacked the building of the Libyan House of Representatives, they found many papers proving the Libyan House of Representatives’ involvement in financial and administrative corruption and the waste of money in a very crude and obscene way. All members of the Libyan House of Representatives amount to approximately $300,000 per year, while their monthly salary exceeds $5,000 per month with other trivial expenses borne by the helpless Libyan people who were the reason for their election to serve the Libyan state and the Libyan people. This is a disgrace that must be wiped and rid of. and holding free and fair elections immediately.

  31. maxi pwr says:

A strong, educated and patient people who know how to correct their mistakes and take their rights deserve to live a beautiful, safe and normal life in peace. The Libyan politicians in eastern and western Libya must submit to the will of the Libyan people to hold elections and improve the standard of living, which became hell a year ago. 2011 because of NATO's barbaric interference in the internal affairs of Libya using false, falsified and never true arguments.

  32. max marrero says:

We need to get rid of government. We have to be our own government.
