This afternoon, the former Communities Minister Kemi Badenoch became the latest candidate to be ejected from the race by Conservative MPs.

That leaves Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss and Penny Mordaunt battling to be in the final two who go forward to the run-off with Tory party members.

Only 32 votes separate leader in the race, Rishi Sunak, from Liz Truss in third place, so Westminster is alive with feverish speculation on how the votes will fall in the final round among MPs tomorrow.

“We know what labour would do to the economy”…
    ffs!
doesn’t that doublespeak warrant at least the gentlest of pushbacks?

You know in the context of the economy being worse than in living memory for great swathes of the population?

Worst inflation in the G7, double that of france, worst growth in the G20 save for russia, what is it? 16 tax raises (for non billionaires) in the last year? A coat of living crisis on steroids thanks to privatised utilities, the most expensive train service in europe (run by nationalised rail companies ::of other countries::, run for profit of investors via pumping the public over a barrel to the extent that flying is cheaper.
How, one wonders, do tories nutmeg tv journalists like this?
I hope I’m mistaken, but, close your eyes, there’s nothing in anyones accent connoting one’s cut from different cloth than the other.
That’s nothing to do with it, right?

Sunak won't win. Wrong name, wrong color, wrong tax policy. I don't know why Tory POC even bother running. He's right about the fiscal reality of tax cuts, but in these times that is political suicide. Truss also has the support of Conservative media.

If Mr Johnson has integrity issue, Sunak has integrity issue too! His wife claim non-domicile for tax and he is in charge of UK’s finance. He is so familiar with UK tax and finance system. There is no excuse for him to claim negligent. Such behaviour violates conflicts of interest definitely and I cannot see why he can be PM.

If Mr Rishi becomes Prime Minister of the UK , maybe next year the party will break up again because Rishi has many negative aspects. I think it would be good for the British people and the new generation if the foreign Secretary Ms Liz Truss becomes UK Prime Minister. Mr Rishi and his wife does tax invasion.
Petrol price is as high as £1.95p per litre and food and housing prices are now impacted by inflation but no one seems to care. What did Mr Rishi do when he was finance minister? Using the Russia vs Ukraine war and covid-19 as excuses? Please do something for the British middle class and lower class people. Most British Prime Ministers and MPs lives in luxury when they were in power. They do nothing for the lower class, a real shame for all British people.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
