    Good Morning Everyone.
Nice to see you back Marc

Anything that crushes Russia and eliminates the Putin government and Putinism is fine with me.

Johnson heard the word Empire and instantly thought of himself becoming the European Caesar of the 21st century…. lifelong job without votes of no confidence. Macron must have missed to mention it would be an EU 🇪🇺 project.

    Greetings from Bavaria

So now the UK, who exited the EU community, to be free and take back control of own shores and destiny, now want to be a part of a new political community? jajaja. "Emperor's new clothes"??

Being a member of a democratic society or club implies giving and taking by all members for the common good, and being compliant with and respectful of the rule of law.
    .
History shows the UK turns its back on Europe. Europeans know the UK only ever wants to take and dictate.
    Not welcome.
We can trade with UK as a neighbour- if they want. The UK can, if they want, play its part as a member of NATO to foment security of the region.

We do not want the untrustworthy UK, in any way to determine our political destiny.
Besides we do not want an emperor, however "glorified or nostalgic" empires are remembered, or yearned for by some bigots.

There are such things as values, democracy, human rights, civil liberties, respect of the rule of law…..blatently ignored by the UK "empire" , who does not give a hoot for the democracy of europe.

Johnson saw the Gladiator movie and thinks he is Emperor.
I don’t believe he studied any classics.

  6. Peter Ebel says:

Isn't the British natural ally Russia in the plans to terminate this stupid bureaucratic EU to smoothen the flow of corrupt money?

  7. uwe in Hamburg says:

Strange that Mr. Johnson found so kind words for Turkey when you remember that the fear of 80 million Turks all coming to Central Europe and the UK was one of the diving forces behind Brexit xenophobia! That he includes Northern Africa with nearly 200 million citizens now as well is even stranger but perhaps he is thinking about an endless supply of fruit pickers and nannies for the donors of the Tory party.

On the other hand he has Turkish ancestors himself and some elements of the Arab ideology would go really well with his thinking.

  8. Igor Scot says:

If Boris want to reform the EU, he should have done it from the inside! Not leave, then state how the EU should be run!

  9. Gigi Malvassora says:

Another infrastructure in competition with the EU 's institutions?
    More mess!
We need a federation without the eurepean council and a central parliament where the candidates are voted by all the european citizens.
Not an european political communitity but an european political entity.

  10. RNA Nerd says:

Well ok but then the logical consequence is to capture and send the arch brexiteers to the colosseum to face the lions

whatever they come up with, they should keep britain out. ALl they will do is cause trouble and divide. only a different governent after this horrible one should even be talked too

Guess who would be Rome? A city full of rich lazy people who got everything given to them, and done for them, by slaves.

  14. Raj Patel says:

Bojo needs to go before he causes more damage.

  15. David McCulloch says:

Johnson's delusion knows no bounds. First he is Churchill; now he is Caesar.

  16. a b says:

Most stunningly the Johnson claimed parenthood of the idea. Like with bendy buses, bike schemes etc.

What a very insecure person he is. Or does he believe his own lies?

  17. Time Of the year says:

The next stage for the UK will start a war somewhere. The commonwealth of Europe. Commonwealth only works for rich countries

  18. Michael Mayo says:

No,no,no Bozo wants to be the PM of Europe. He wants to be a new Roman emperor.

  20. Ilse Küper says:

Oh, Blojo would appreciate to become one of the dictators in the Triumvirat, hoping to act like a caesar, Nero or Calligula perhaps?

  21. L Walker says:

Someone needs to explain to Boris that Africa isn't in Europe. Apparently they don't teach geography at Eton.

  22. roddy christodoulou says:

I'm convinced macron was just trolling Johnson and the fucking fool that he is fell for it hook line and sinker .
We already have a union of European countries and it's called the European Union .

  23. No Name says:

I agree on Mediterranean as European Mare Nostrum, but I think English wish for an Empire with London as capital. That will not happen

  24. Trippy McHippy says:

The Anglo-American Empire is the Roman Empire. It just went underground.

Is BJ aware that Scotland and NI was not part of the Roman Empire? Is he now a supporter of the break-up of the UK ? 😉

  27. Mike McGurk says:

eh? What has it got to do with the UK? we left the EU so we should keep our nose out of this. "Brexit means Brexit" doesn't it?

  28. Alessandro Giannini says:

Uhm, if I remember well, Caesar and Caligula were murdered and Nero committed suicide. To be a roman emperor has some drawback 😉

  29. Max Harbig says:

BJ by name and a BJ by nature. LOL

  30. John Carroll says:

Isn't that a bit like what Hitler tried to do – just a bit!

  31. Dave Mons says:

What does he want? Slavery for the bulk of the population? Toilets that don't flush and use moss to wipe your arse? Genocide over whole areas under your control? Ethnic cleansing of undesirables, (that would suit Pritti Ugly in getting rid of the homeless, the Romanies and the Travellers). How long before the disabled are left out for the foxes to eat?

The Roman Empire was the model for the Nazi state, and that went very well, did it not??

  32. Jerry Can says:

potentially interesting… Apart from that: lose the sunglasses!

  33. Alan Harwood says:

It's hard working up the enthusiasm for G7 or Nato summits. Putin is changing the playing field as they chatter.

  34. Michael Weskamp says:

Boris and some of his friends seem to be obsessed with empires. That explains some things.

  35. TheTwosliceToaster says:

Bojo has no say over how Europe develops any more, because he lives in Brexshit Britain where everyone must sit on the outskirts and just watch, whilst the rest of Europe makes all the decisions 🙂

  36. redred says:

Bo jo is just fantasizing about the Roman empire and dreaming that he'll be Caesar.

  37. Sleeping Insomiac says:

So everything north of Hadrian's wall is out?
I'm sure the Scots will love to hear that!

  38. Mark Johnston says:

What has anything to do with Europe got to do with Johnson? He is the gobshite in charge of a rogue government on a little island that he is sinking with his lies and corruption. The little island that no longer can hold it's head up in international affairs because it cannot be trusted to honour it's International obligations and it's signature on any document is now worthless. The EU and the greater Europe should just shun this little island of the damned as the insignificant lying backwater it has become.

  39. Richard Wallbank says:

Boris reminds me more of a Caligula, the rise & fall of the Boris Empire.

  40. storkythepunk says:

That's about right for Boris, an empire run by slaves.

  41. Thomas Schodt says:

… like Switzerland or the UK or Turkey…

  42. Will Eisinga says:

Mediterranean Mare Nostrum, Black Sea Mare Nostrum, Baltic Sea Mare Nostrum, South Chinese Sea Mare Nostrum, Atlantic Ocean Mare Nostrum, Pacific Mare Nostrum, Indian Ocean Mare Nostrum. USA Empire, UK Empire, Russia, China, India, South America, Africa, EU, Colonies of the Empires. There is no other Solution.😁

  43. Oh Gosh says:

Why does Johnson care about the EU? Only to get Turkey unto the EU as proof that the leave campaign were correct about something.
