What’s: No response?
All three contestants on Friday’s episode of “Jeopardy!” were stumped by the Final Jeopardy query.
Based on show recappers, the last clue got here from the American Geography category and browse: “Native Americans called it Okwa-ta, or ‘wide water’; Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville would rename it for a countryman.”
Friday’s players included Erica Rapheal, an epidemiologist from St. Paul, Minnesota; Ben Goldstein, a content marketing specialist from Dexter, Michigan; and Suzanne Goldlust, a marketing manager from Reston, Virginia.
Apparently, none of them issued the proper answer, which was Lake Pontchartrain.
“I personally found this to be a really difficult Final Jeopardy clue, though, that may just be because I’m Canadian,” The Jeopardy Fan author Andy Saunders said of the triple stumper.
“Nonetheless, it does turn out to be easier when you know that Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville is the founding father of Louisiana. I just don’t know the way many home viewers or contestants will know who founded Louisiana. (I do know, for one, guessed Lake Champlain; it will not surprise me if my guess was matched by a minimum of one player on stage.”
The Post has contacted a “Jeopardy!” representative for comment.
Just last week, a distinct group of three contestants was stumped by 23 clues, leading to the bottom Coryat rating — a player’s rating if wagering is disregarded — of the season.
One Reddit user claimed the known record for “Jeopardy!” triple stumpers is 24, set in 2005.
On Thursday, viewers were left considering “Oh, Lord” when all three contestants couldn’t finish the Lord’s Prayer.
