Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor today recommended an investigation by probe agency Central Bureau of Investigation into the Arvind Kejriwal-led government’s new excise policy, setting up a new flashpoint in the battle between the BJP and AAP. Margaret Alva, the joint opposition candidate running for Vice President, has criticised the Trinamool Congress’s decision to abstain from voting in the election. Mr Alva in a tweet reminded West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party that the Vice Presidential election “isn’t the time for whataboutery, ego or anger”. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for classes 10 and 12. 94 per cent students cleared the 10th exam and 92.71 per cent students have cleared the class 12 exams, the board said.
