The central bank is likely to keep hiking the rate to keep inflation under control, so the risk is very real.

Just ask an economist what to do and do the opposite. These clowns who call themselves economists are usually just apologists for capitalism, which is failing right now. Only serious governmental intervention can prevent a total collapse of the economy at this point. The fed is pissing in the wind.

How to rein in inflation when the energy crisis (caused by Ukraine Russia Conflict) is very serious. It's wrong medication at this point in time.

The usa is heading straight into recession if the Biden administration continues doubling down on prolonging the war in Ukraine. Increasing interest rates will not bring down inflation but exacerbates the process of decreasing investments and increasing costs. The employment rate will not be secured in the near future due to the higher costs and decreasing purchasing power which will induce unemployment rate to go up.

    Already in recession

Depression. Joe Biden just said Americans will happily pay $200 a barrel of oil for "as long is it takes". Full speed ahead into a Depression.
