Speak about an prolonged lunch break.
A British mom says she has mastered the art of the fast and low cost vacation — finding flights for as little as $20 and making it back in time for the beginning of her night shift.
Anne-Marie Moss, 45, claims to have taken eight trips over the past two years for lower than $1,300 in total.
A few of her travels include Bucharest, Romania, for just $144, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, for $136 and the Tatra Mountains for three-day stints at $150 each.
Moss, who hails from Greater Manchester, England, explained that she became inspired to travel when she found an insane deal to take her daughter, Trinity, 20, and a few of her friends to Kraków, Poland, in December 2021.
“It began off once I found [$20] return flights to go to Kraków, Poland,” Moss told SWNS. “I fell in love with it.”
The women visited Christmas markets and stayed in an apartment that only cost $125 for 2 nights, with a first-rate location in town center.
She was shocked by the low cost prices.
“After we got here back home, I desired to travel again,” she said.
So she did — and he or she has made it routine.
After Moss returned from her trip to Kraków, she decided to go to again a couple of month later with a friend she hadn’t seen in 30 years. Rachel, 44, had posted on Facebook about wanting to travel, and Moss responded.
“I hadn’t seen her in 30 years, but I said, ‘Lets go for it?’” Moss recalled. “It was last minute, and we got [a $44] return flight.”
They went to the Tatra Mountains in Poland and visited a thermal spa.
That they had such an incredible time that they returned lower than one month later for 2 days — this time going kayaking, quad biking and cycling. Your entire vacation reportedly cost $150.
Moss said she has gone back three more times, taking various relations, in May, June and December of last 12 months.
Moss typically embarks on her excursions in the course of the week, since she works the night shift as a receptionist at a mental health hospital. To maximise her time on vacation, she likes to book the earliest flight out and the most recent one back, traveling with only a backpack.
Considered one of her recent trips was to Palma de Mallorca, Spain, where she only went for a day with two pals for $135 each, which included flights and taxis. They got foot massages and watched a ship race while they were there last month.
“I’ve made latest friendship groups along the best way,” Moss gushed.
The subsequent vacation she has planned is to Marseille, France, with friends. They will likely be going for 2 days in May, hoping to kayak across the coast and go on a cruise.
Their return flights only cost $36.
Moss said she’s all the time blissful for others to affix her travels — so long as they’re not boring.
“So long as you’re nice and up for an adventure come along,” she said. “You’ve got to be up for things.”
“We don’t calm down by the pool,” Moss added.
