A Hurricane Watch has been issued for the west coast of Florida – from north of Englewood to the Anclote River, including Tampa Bay. A Storm Surge Watch has been extended north along the west coast of Florida to the Anclote River.

I always knew there were people that yell at weathermen for making unfavorable forecasts. But I didn't realize how many people were that disconnected with reality or that all of society would keep trending toward that way of thinking; that good thoughts attract good outcomes, bad thoughts attract bad outcomes, and science isn't even a thing. But the pandemic has made things clear, and I guess issuing forecasts may soon be impossible.
Hope the storm obliterates the entire state
Prayers don't do anything. If you want to be safe during the storm, evacuate or buckle down. Dumb prayer comments won't do anything.
Since the beginning of 2021, 23 resolutions have been passed by local governments in Virginia to condemn China’s forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, mostly Falun Gong practitioners. Essex County, Staunton City and Fluvanna County are the latest government bodies to pass such resolutions.
The resolution passed unanimously by the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors on November 3, 2021, reminded its citizens that they may become accomplices in killing innocent lives if they go to China for organ transplants.
The resolution says, “extensive and credible reports have revealed mass killing of prisoners of conscience in the People's Republic of China, primarily practitioners of the Chinese spiritual practice of Falun Gong, but also other religious and ethnic minority groups, in order to obtain organs for transplants.”
It goes on to say that “[The Virginia Fluvanna Country Board of Supervisors] condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime.”
The resolution urges the U.S. Government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end forced organ harvesting.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime for the past 22 years.
Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors met on November 3, 2021, and unanimously passed a resolution condemning forced organ harvesting by the Chinese communist government.
Essex County passed a resolution condemning forced organ harvesting in China on September 14, 2021.
Those asylum seekers I'm sure are thankful, jokes on desantis. I hope he doesn't ask for federal money for the clean up.

With the 5 to 8 feet storm surges, any one situated along the Redington & Madeira beaches, Treasure Island zone, etc. on the barrier would be absolutely crazy if chose not to leave as the elevation is only 3 feet [1 meter] above sea level along the main road there.

So my plans to fly out of Orlando on Wednesday to London seemed jeopardized due to the hurricane. Have changed my flight to Tuesday… just in case… Virgin Atlantic sent me an email to warn about the storm and allowed me to change my flight without a fee which is wonderful. iThat’s great you would think right? Not really. Having paid a fee to choose my seat on the original flight I also had to pay a fee to choose my seat on my new flight. I expect they Will refund my original seat selection fee, but who knows if they actually will ? Virgin is my favorite airline so I hope they refund me. 😜
he did mention it that hot waters cause the storm to strengthen thats precisely what every scientist has said that temperatures are warming, thus greater storm strengths. Which is exactly climate change without saying it. I pray for those in the tampa area, and throughout florida. Hopefully everyone has the supplies to last this one out or has evacuated. Better to evacuate then take the risk of staying but of course not everyone can due to age and traffic, hopefully everyone stays safe. Have been to florida once and what a lovely state, sending prayers from canada.

That storm moves slowly than drivers in the right lane. As someone who’s been in hurricanes, most recently Hurricane Ida in Mississippi…. please take the hurricane seriously. Don’t play with it. Evacuate if you can. Those winds will sound like a train that’ll lasts for hours.
