Public money is pouring in on the Kansas City Chiefs’ possibilities at a 3rd straight Super Bowl title.
The Chiefs have moved from +750 to +650 to win the 2025 Lombardi Trophy at BetMGM Sportsbook after sports bettors hammered their Super Bowl futures following their third championship within the Patrick Mahomes era.
They’re currently getting two times extra money to win next 12 months’s Super Bowl than every other team within the NFL at BetMGM, in response to the sportsbook’s public relations manager, John Ewing.
Despite a ton of affection for Kansas City from the general public, the San Francisco 49ers – the team the Chiefs took down in Super Bowl 2024 – remain the favorites to win it next 12 months with +500 odds.
The Baltimore Ravens (+900) are the one other teams with odds higher than 10/1.
They’re followed by the Buffalo Bills (+1200) and Detroit Lions (+1200), who round out the highest five.
The Chiefs are slight favorites to win the AFC (+350), ahead of the Ravens (+450).
Kansas City will head into next season seeking to turn out to be the primary team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
And there’s a shot they’re even higher come Week 1.
After coping with frustrating dropped passes from his receiving corp throughout last season, Mahomes may get a latest WR1 in free agency.
Betting on the NFL?
The Chiefs currently have the third-best odds (+500) to land veteran wide receiver Mike Evans, who would give Mahomes his best pass option outside of Travis Kelce since Tyreek Hill’s departure after the 2021 season.
Their Super Bowl possibilities will take a success in the event that they’re unable to retain star defensive lineman Chris Jones though.
Jones is about to turn out to be a free agent in March, although the Chiefs are heavy favorites (-175) to bring him back into the fold.
