Hope the authorities are investigating new companies making sure they didn't just shut up to avoid taxes or services to reopen under new name etc

  18. Jo K. says:

Unfortunately, 95% of these new business starters are dreamers. Anyone can register a business name and think they can do a better job by themselves than when they were working for an established company.

Also, too many "similar type" businesses are being started, who believe that undercutting their opposition will make them succeed – the result is that no one makes a worthwhile profit. Recessions typically cleanse out these excess businesses/sole operators & poorly operated companies.

Sit back and watch the unfolding show folks.

I'm a building designer and outsource to 2 Filipino (building designer & architect) using upwork. I am able to outsource at a 1/10th of the invoice. I get the work, communicate with the client and all relevant contractors, manage and do quality checks. The issue is it would take me at least 6mths to train up someone with no prior experience (Which I dont have the time to do- that would mean losses) and any decent drafter in Australia would be charging not much less than what I charge the client so would make no profit really. So this way I can serve the demand which is high and feed 2 families in the Philippines and make a profit for myself
