A skydiving grandad plunged to his death during a pre-game ceremony at a highschool football game in Tennessee — in view of horrified spectators, a report said.
The unidentified skydiver fatally slammed onto the sphere during a scheduled pre-game show at David Crockett High School in Jonesborough that went horribly mistaken, the Washington County Sheriff’s office told WTVC.
The skydiver was airlifted to an area hospital where he died of his injuries, police said.
Washington County Director of Schools Jerry Boyd referred to the person as a “beloved husband, father, and grandfather,” in an announcement to WCYB.
Only a day after the mishap, one other skydiver plunged to his death in Recent Jersey Saturday.
Michigan resident Brandon Jackson, 37, was found lying in a field near a runway at Alexandria Field Airport in Hunterdon County, Recent Jersey at 2:30 p.m., NJ.com reported.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, officials told the publication.
Police haven’t yet released the name of the corporate involved. It’s not clear exactly what caused the freak accident.
