Gerry Turner is able to turn it up on the dance floor. The “Golden Bachelor” lead isn’t counting out a possible opportunity to affix the subsequent season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
“I can be open to any and all opportunities because as much fun as I’ve had up so far, and as much fun as my family has had coming together with me on this journey, I wouldn’t say no to anything,” he told The Post.
“I might must form of get more information before I committed to something,” he continued. “But gosh, I mean, how much fun could that be?”
The 72-year-old wouldn’t be the primary reality star from the Bachelor Nation franchise to sign on for the ABC dancing competition. In years past, Melissa Rycroft, Trista Sutter, Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe Chris Soules, Nick Viall, Joe Amabile and Matt James have all taken a spin within the ballroom. Season 20 Bachelorette Charity Lawson can also be still within the running on Season 32.
Much more, former Bachelorette leads Hannah Brown and Kaitlyn Bristowe have each won their respective seasons, taking home the coveted mirrorball trophy, now named The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in honor of the late judge who died in April. Gabby Windey, for her part, got here close on Season 19 as she placed second.
Turner isn’t sure if he can be the perfect dancer on this system, rating himself pretty low between 1 to 10.
“I’m probably just a median guy,” he told The Post. “So on a scale of 1 to 10, perhaps a 5.”
Turner’s activate “Golden Bachelor” will soon be coming to a detailed. On Thursday night’s episode, his fantasy suites left him torn between Theresa and Leslie.
“I’m in love with each Leslie and Theresa,” he said in the course of the show. “It’s going to be an incredibly difficult decision to make. I hope that the clarity will come.”
He added to host Jesse Palmer: “Many individuals shall be taking a look at that as, do people my age still knock boots and have a superb time behind closed doors? I mean your parents, are you continue to feeling like mom and pa come down the steps with a bit of extra spring of their step?”
Palmer replied: “TMI, TMI, Gerry. Let’s just keep this on you.”
Turner went on to notice that it had “been some time” since he had “the chance to be physically intimate with someone” following the death of his wife.
“Actually in that area, I might wish to make certain her comfort level was as complete as could possibly be and if that results in something more physical than that activity becomes organic and natural in its nature. At this age, it’s more gentle, it’s slow,” he explained. “It’s something you possibly can savor since it’s something that’s essentially the most special you possibly can have.”
After his nights away, he admitted he was “dying inside” over having to make a choice from the ladies. While he noted Leslie is “adventurous and he or she looks out for me and I look out for her,” Theresa and him “know what the opposite person is feeling.”
Luckily, Turner’s bond with Palmer, 45, has helped him throughout his journey.
“I like Jesse. He’s awesome to work with. He was a genuinely a superb guy,” Turner told The Post ahead of the show’s debut. “I feel actually, due to age difference, there have been a number of times when he was asking me about things and perhaps more like life usually and so forth. After which I might ask him more specific questions on the show and the journey and the method and so forth. But I shall be eternally grateful to Jesse and his sensitivity at times to to what I used to be going through.”
“The Golden Bachelor” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The season finale airs on Nov. 30.
