Kid Rock controversy
Kid Rock aka Robert James Ritchie has made headlines over time for his outspoken political and social views.
The 52-year-old rap-rocker turned country-rocker has displayed the Confederate flag at live shows, publicly disparaged Colin Kaepernick, used homophobic slurs and most recently shot Bud Light beer cans with a semiautomatic rifle in response to the corporate partnering with Dylan Mulvaney.
He has also publicly endorsed Donald Trump for President.
Jason Aldean controversy
In July of this yr, Aldean released the music video for his polarizing single “Try That In A Small Town,” which will have had a pro-racism and pro-lynching message.
Over the course of three minutes, the 46-year-old country star displayed images of George Floyd protests projected onto Tennessee’s Maury County courthouse, which has a little bit of historical significance.
Said courthouse is where a 1946 race riot and 1927 lynching took place.
The video was pulled down by CMT after 4 days on the air.
