She wasn’t feeling bubbly.
A lady was allegedly thrown off an Alaska Airlines flight earlier this month after a flight attendant claimed the passenger was drunk.
The TikTok user posted concerning the injustice she allegedly suffered on the social media app and has since gained 895,000 views on the video.
TikTokker Kandace H. claimed that she was waiting for her flight from Portland, Oregon back home to Las Vegas when she stopped to get a mimosa on the airport terminal bar.
“THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE !! I AM LIVID,” reads the video’s caption. “The flight attendants on flight #714 from Portland to Vegas must be fired!”
Within the video, Kandace begins to clarify that she had stopped for a drink — one and a half mimosas, to be exact — together with her coworkers on the airport before boarding their respective flights.
Upon boarding, Kandace needed to make use of the plane’s bathroom — a first-time event for her who typically avoids public restrooms.
Due to this fact, this was unfamiliar territory for Kandace, who was forced to ask a flight attendant how the lights work.
“I am going in the lavatory, the sunshine didn’t come on,” she recalled, revealing that while she attempted to resolve the lavatory light issue, she was on the phone together with her coworkers, who were booked on separate flights, to assist minimize her anxiety.
After spending nearly 10 minutes in the lavatory, Kandace emerged from the bathroom to seek out the flight attendant waiting for her.
“I used to be like, ‘I mean I did have a drink on the bar, but who doesn’t? There are actually bars on the airport’,” Kandace said during her TikTok travel update. “I had a mimosa; well, one and a half — I didn’t even finish the second because I needed to get to the gate.”
Kandace said she made her way back to her seat and was soon approached by the gate agent who then asked the bemused passenger to go away the plane.
“The woman comes as much as me, and she or he’s like ‘excuse me, ma’am,’ and I’m pondering she’s going to inform me to place my backpack underneath the seat because I had it in my lap,” Kandace continued.
The gate agent reportedly told Kandace that the flight attendant alleged she was “slurring her words” and whispered “I’m drunk, shhh.”
“I don’t have an issue with saying that I had a drink, but I’m not belligerent, I’m not drunk,” she told her followers on TikTok. “I literally thought it was a joke.”
Kandace told viewers that she initially thought the stunt was a joke.
“I asked her like 4 times: ‘Are you kidding me?’,” said Kandace. “They only pulled me off the plane, we were literally about to take off.”
The passenger was forced then to attend for the subsequent flight at 10 p.m. to get home.
“I’m p- -sed,” she concluded within the video.
“Our flight attendants are trained to make safety decisions which are best for everybody on board. A part of keeping a flight protected is ensuring all guests are fit to fly,” said a rep for Alaska Airlines said to The Post. “One in all the passengers exhibited concerning behavior throughout the preboarding process and she or he was asked to exit the aircraft because of safety concerns.”
Soon, several TikTokers also expressed their outrage.
“So why they selling drinks within the airport in the event that they don’t allow y’all to be drunk,” pondered one viewer.
In keeping with a follow-up video, Kandace also revealed that several travelers round her tried to vouch for her sobriety and thwart her removal from the plane.
