Given the number of sanctions on Russia, it is amazing if not commendable that Russia continues to supply Europe with Gas.Any country, especially the US or Europe itself would have cut off gas completely given a similar situation.The US and UK have hijacked and pushed Europe into a tight corner. It is going to take a lot of effort for them to recover.

European Union (EU):
"We will crush you with our sanctions and isolate you!"

Russia:
"Let me help you, I will shut the oil and gas supply, that way I won't receive any more of your money."

when you place all these sanctions on Russia and expect them to supply you gas why not ask the US to provide you another alternative,even if another alternative is available it will take years to set up new pipelines as a substitute
