WSJ tech reporter Sam Schechner joins host Julie Chang to explain the new rules and how companies are assessing them.

Why’d you pick the person with the lisp man?😂
Should the US also target European companies that have monopolies or are acting in monopolistic practices
As of today, both Apple and Google are screwed!
Regulatory capture at its finest
Man that lisp is really, really distracting.
The DSA is just govt-controlled speech. As an American, I have no idea why we consider Europe to be our ally. We don’t agree on any fundamental values. Only the American far left agrees with govt controlling private speech.
I wouldn’t like the Play Store on my iPhone, that’s just crazy.
I'm glad that they're finally looking into this issue. Macs/Windows computers have allowed you to download programs and apps from any store without issue. Yes it does cause security issues but people who go out of the ecosystem understand the risks.
I must applaud 👏 the EU for the new standardized USB law
No more massive bunches of charging wires tangles
In research conducted by the National Institutes of Health, participants who chose to donate a portion of $100 they were provided enjoyed activated pleasure centers in the brain.

Hello blogger, I have watched several videos you made, which are very lively and interesting. How can I contact you?
For me this video is more like a podcast than a youtube video…
Stop adds irritating 😢
EU leads the way!
This law do not touch small companies, which is very important.
Asian markets gain after Fed says rate hikes may be needed
The problem is who defines “harmful content” what if you have unpopular political views?
Europe likes regulations. They should regulate their own companies and leave American companies alone.
apple? that is wsj had to make video to protest european law. or else no iphone ads
iOS devices are the one place I can keep my grandparents safe from viruses and extortion scams. If they force Apple to allow other app stores it's going to be the bad old days of everything they click is a virus that steals their info, takes their money, and slows the device down doing who knows what.
It's a typical tactics in the capitalist world, can't compete and can't win, put in the red tapes to reap profits from the winner's revenues. The U.S has done it a lot to China, from the wideband 5th generation to the tiktok apps to almost everything except the agricultural products or commercial planes which are good for U.S winning.
Anyone flying to Germany are traitors of USA people. They are worse than Hitler ever was.
Thank you EU!! Here’s to hoping this spreads.
Don't wait until the market skyrocket again then you start biting your fingers wishing you made the decision to invest. bought my third house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn't matter if you don't have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice made
I can see a new smartphone coming for the European market with open source in mind, since EU wants fair distribution of many apps and programs..
New EU tech startups can finally grow without big tech companies interfering with the development of smaller companies in Europe.
Europe needs more tech companies and technologies to become competitive, something that Apple, Amazing and Microsoft don't like.
Hope they roll out the same rules in Australia!!
EU is very efficient on killing innovations with regulations they don’t understand. Can Any one name big tech companies established from EU ? I don’t think so. This is the reason!
Great news and long overdue. Apple, Meta and Twitter in particular need to be reigned in.
Apple specifically for it's anti competitive behavior. Twitter and Meta for their appalling lack of due diligence to restrict bots anf fake accounts abusing their platforms.
The US needs to follow suit to limit the damage and destabilizing influence these companies have on American society.
Here we go again, the EU is looking for more money from big tech
an attempt to put peoples wishes before that of big businesses – the EU should be applauded – big business will alter their products and service to comply – a good news story
Eu really is leading the way for all the governments worldwide!
♥️
TLDR: Digital Markets Act & Digital Services Act.
App stores to include competitors products.
Install software from sources outside of marketplaces/app stores.
USB-C as a standard on all phones.
Should be all good to go in a year.
The tested weed practically disapprove because stage independently start following a open gym. nutty, abject steam
Big Brother european style.
