3 weeks ago someone in California died of heat stroke working for UPS. They need to boycott UPS for this. They obviously don't care if their workers live or die
I hope UPS is not lying that this driver got help my heart goes out to him
UPS has been using the same trucks forever, and now one weak millennial gets overheated and causes an uproar. We aren't built the same. Man up
Actor. Not a UPS driver.
kudos to the resident for taking action, these delivery guys work so far but no job is worth your health and safety.
what a lame explanation by UPS public relations, trained outdoors how???
They don’t train us to combat the heat. All They say drink water and eat a fruit then keep going.
Don’t worry, Corporate Democrat Control will solve the problem that they created ( for a situation that is actually in the Bible) by depopulating the world of non-essential human beings. More details tonight on every Corporate Climate Change Investors Owned “news” network and between big pharma and health care insurance commercials.
He's faking it
I have placed bottled water, electrolyte packets and snacks out for the delivery drivers at the condo for two weeks now. My friends has for years. They should purchase cooling towels for the drivers.
They have the instant pop cool packs and cooling towels. These should be given to the drivers
No
“He’s fine” lol
Ah the great American consumerism, it will be the death of us.
UPS is run by a bunch of criminals who take the money and run. How can you treat human beings like this? Modern day slavery.
I’ve never received any kind of training other than drink water lol
If an area is over 80 AC should be mandatory for that type job
First rule you learn in Arizona. DO NOT GO TO WORK HUNG OVER! Hydrate and stay cool.
OSHA?
0:51 – LOL, 'trained'. Yes I was trained to survive the surface of the sun heat. I read this pamphlet, said to drink water. When I got pop quizzed and answered water I got this neat paper that said 'I'm trained to ignore the elements that a normal human being would collapse from exhaustion'
Poor guy I wish I could’ve offered him a drink and AC
Yup
Looks staged
Arizona heat!!!??🥺, I don't know how people lives in oven
Welcome to amrerika! Capitalism rules supreme! After all were not communists!
So this multi-billion $ company can't afford vehicles w/AC like Amazon & FedEx? You don't see their delivery drivers passing out from heat exhaustion.
I guarantee you they sent him out the next day with a 10 hour shift. and kicked his a)) for falling down, taking mins off his
clock, UPS runs like slave labor. The guy probably punched out with an hour of overtime and will get written up for it.
The inside of that truck the temp was prob 120, the roof of the tuck is clear plastic letting in light and HEAT
The fact they don’t have air conditioning in their trucks is reason enough to high tail it to a new employer
It's the vaccine
Reminds me of shuttling 53s from Fed Ex to Knight in Phoneix all day, no clue how these guys do it.
I actually cried seeing this..UPS need to provide some kind of cooling situation in those trucks..UNEXCEPTABLE and inhumane!!
Bullcrap. They don't train you work outdoors , they just ask if you can do the job. You are asked to keep yourself hydrated
How do you train for hot weather? I live in Arizona and there's no training for the heat, only preparing. These workers deserve better!
OMG!!!!!
UPS is disgusting!!! My mothers ex-hubby left UPS in the ‘80’s & stated his own delivery service that is a huge success and multi-million Dollar company today. He knew he deserved better! Such BS A/C ineffective. People treat their animals better. Shame on you UPS!!!
UPS drivers in alaska must count their blessings each day.
Bro its 2022 put a/c in yalls vehicles
Props to the guy for making ringing it to the door bell, I hope he sees better working days after this
I work as a driver and there are no excuses to not put fans in the back of the vehicle. The back of the vehicles are literally saunas.
You should do broadcasts about why they dont give people a surgical needle to control body temperature
It's easy to make
You should demand it
Did you really need to have the package delivered on a scorching day? While i feel for the driver (i have experienced collapsing from heat stroke, and on seperate occasions collapsing from exhaustion) this illustrates a much broader issue. Consider roofers, farmers, road construction workers, and many many more industries. This issue goes beyond those working in hot environments, example: i went into an interview at a workshop which on their website presents themselves as conscientious small business; signing a song that they use reclaimed products, offers Google style work environment, 10% of time to use shops tools for employees' own projects, and other romanticized ideas. IDEAS being the key word. Based on how the company "dresses themselves" i was looking forward to seeing the shop. I was shown around the dingy place, with antiquated equipment (nothing wrong with old equipment as long as it is maintained, which this wasn't), no dust collection nor ventilation. Then i was shown into what i coined as "death room" where old furniture was being reclaimed by using corrosive chemicals flushed into the municipal water system. In that room i was told i would be responsible for my own Personal Protective Equipment and that it has to be heavy duty because if i get any of the chemicals on me it'll burn through skin and bone. I asked about ventilation and was told that it's in the works, and if i get dizzy i will be allowed to step outside for a few minutes <- this is in Canada and completely legal. So… Stop pointing a finger at UPS, consider the remaining four fingers that are pointing back at you, ask yourself if you really need to have that package delivered on a scorching day, then ponder on the failures of society as a whole. Personally, i gave up on the governments and laws, and instead when things come up ask myself what i can do instead of expecting others to solve such issues.
So… Did you really need that package delived in a scorching day?
And… If i were UPS head honcho, here's what i would change: i would make the trucks quiet, and train the drivers to deliver ninja style (quietly) in evenings (when it's cooler), and when there's least traffic. This approach would allow all deliveries to be completed faster and with less fuel = efficiency, money savings, better for the environment.
probably pulled him from truck duty and probably punished him for making the company look bad.
Here’s another one-that’s Not Fine- This guy died. 1 Month ago. Age 24.

“Thumbs down” UPS-To save lives-Build back better. Let’s Do this.

He had a hangover
One of the worst companies i worked for out doing Amazon
"We appreciate the concern for our employee and can report that he is fine. UPS drivers are trained to work outdoors and for the effects of hot weather" – UPS Public Relations…
Bruh! How can they say "HE IS FINE". It would more be He died during his work.
I was a driver for over 10 years, this company ONLY care about quarterly profits and keeping their own bonuses paid in full. The company is refusing to put FANS, not AC, a simply FAN in trucks. I am still in contact with many of my old co-workers whom are drivers, and the on-car supervisor PCM'd that "OSHA is in the area today, do NOT let them on your trucks." How evil and malicious can this money hungry company be?! Their drivers, who by the way have to be absolutely perfect on the road or its discipline, are passing out and DYING from the heat, OSHA is trying to investigate the working conditions and they are saying to block them. F*** UPS, this company is run by demons, and the devil himself. Quitting was the best decision I have ever made.
Greedy conservatives do a fine job of protecting the fetus, but once you pop out , you must crawl away and die.
