Cassie’s husband, Alex High quality, supported her via social media just hours after news broke that the model, 37, accused Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, of raping and physically abusing her for years, in line with an explosive lawsuit she filed Thursday.
The private trainer, 30, subtly shared a photograph from the couple’s wedding day via Instagram Story, simply adding a red heart emoji. The sweet snapshot, which was deleted soon after, seemed to be a repost from a past Instagram collage from his account in August 2022.
As The Post previously reported, Cassie claims that Diddy trafficked, raped and beat her starting in 2005 until 2018.
“After years in silence and darkness, I’m finally able to tell my story, and to talk up on behalf of myself and for the good thing about other women who face violence and abuse of their relationships,” Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, said in an announcement via her attorneys at Wigdor LLP.
The R&B singer alleges that their on-and-off-again relationship began in 2005 when she was 19 and Combs was 37. He allegedly introduced her to opiates in 2008 in an try to keep her compliant and he would “continuously” and “savagely” beat her multiple times through the years.
Moreover, the rapper would allegedly force Ventura to interact in drugged-fueled sex acts with sex staff. He would call the arrangements a “Freak Off”; he would also allegedly film and direct them and masturbate.
“Ms. Ventura was repulsed by Mr. Combs’s demands, but between the physical beating and recognizing his incredible power and incredible temper, Ms. Ventura became frightened of her partner and boss, and felt that she couldn’t say no,” her filing states.
In a single particular incident, Ventura claims that Combs became “enraged” when she spoke with one other music manager at an LA party in 2009. Combs then allegedly pushed her out of the club and right into a vehicle where he stomped on her face until she was left bleeding. After the alleged incident, the rapper kept her in a hotel for per week as she recovered from her injury and didn’t allow her to go to her mother until she was higher.
Two years later in 2011, Ventura claims that Combs became “so offended” when he came upon she briefly dated Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, at a time when Ventura and Combs weren’t together.
In response, Combs allegedly beat her and, several months later, he allegedly threatened to explode Kid Audi’s automotive.
“Around that point, Kid Cudi’s automotive exploded in his driveway,” the court documents read. Cudi’s spokesperson told The Recent York Times that Ventura’s account was “all true.”
In 2015, Ventura also alleged that Combs forced her to depart her twenty ninth celebration to go to a “Freak Out” at a close-by hotel. When she broke up with him in 2018 over dinner, he allegedly pushed his way into her home and raped her, the lawsuit states.
Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, said his client “vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.” He also claims that Ventura had been demanding $30 million from Combs for the last six months “under the specter of writing a dangerous book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”
He said in an announcement to Page Six: “Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s fame and searching for a payday.”
In December 2015, rumors surfaced that the exes split after Ventura posted a photograph of a sleeping baby meme on Instagram that read, “How I sleep … knowing that I’m single and no one cheating on me.” She quickly deleted the post. Nevertheless, Us Weekly reported in August 2016 that they were still together.
Two years later, it was revealed that the 2 split for good. “They’re indeed now not together and haven’t been for months,” Cassie’s rep said in an announcement to LoveBScott on the time.
Ventura would go on to fulfill High quality in 2018. They married in Malibu in September 2019 and are parents of daughters Frankie, 3, and Sunny, 2.
