Britney Spears’ viral knife dancing video reportedly saved a struggling prop shop in Los Angeles after fans rushed to purchase the fake blades.
In response to the manager of the Hand Prop Room, online purchases and calls to the shop have doubled because the “Toxic” singer name-dropped them on Instagram.
The manager also told TMZ that rentals, especially knives, have gone up 50 percent.
The Post has reached out to Hand Prop Room for comment.
In response to the manager — who was not named by the outlet — the shop has barely eked by because the Author’s Guild of America strike began in May.
Spears, 41, went viral late last month after posting a video on Instagram showing the “Baby, One More Time” crooner performing a dance to an unknown song at the doorway of her California home clad in a salmon-colored polka dot crop top and white bottoms.
“I began playing within the kitchen with knives today,” wrote Spears within the caption. “Don’t worry they’re NOT real knives.”
“Halloween is soon,” added Spears.
The icon might be seen smiling on the camera as she clangs them together while twirling and twirling around.
At one point within the video, Spears’ dogs meander into the frame but scamper away as soon as Spears clangs the knives together.
In a follow-up post, Spears claimed the knives were fake and were rented by her team.
“I do know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA,” wrote the singer within the post. “These will not be real knives. Nobody needs to fret or call the police.”
In response to Spears, she was attempting to emulate Shakira’s 2023 VMA performance.
“I’m attempting to imitate one in every of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I used to be inspired by !!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks,” concluded Spears.
Despite her pleas to not involve authorities, several concerned fans asked police to perform a wellness check on the singer.
Spears later took to Instagram berating the individuals who ordered the check.
“Is it a joke within the news again with welfare checks,” slammed Spears. “Come on America … we cooler than that, right??”
“The officers got here to my home and said they might not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them,” continued Spears. “I get an apology. I’ve been bullied in my home for thus long now…ITS ENOUGH!”
“Don’t speak about it, come on, let’s DO,” wrote the “Womanizer” songstress. “As my mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions on her own daughter as if I’m within the improper…nope it’s an old game. People should be answerable for their actions! It’s about power for cops.”
