Brian Cox still has some work to do.
The “Succession” star plays the “tormenter” once more in a latest reality competition series inspired by James Bond, titled “007’s Road to a Million,” in keeping with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I got to see how peculiar people would deal with being on a James Bond adventure,” Cox, 76, said about his latest role, in keeping with the outlet.
Cox will host as “The Controller” – AKA the emcee – and the one who decides the longer term of contestants on the brand new Amazon Studios game show.
The series features two-person teams competing to win $1.2 million, shot in locations which might be relevant to James Bond, akin to the Scottish Highlands, Jamaica and Venice, Italy.
“As they travel the world to a number of the most iconic Bond locations, it gets more intense and nail-biting,” Cox continued. “I enjoyed my role as each villain and tormentor, with license to place the hopeful participants through the mangle.”
The Post reached out to reps for Cox for further comment.
The show will launch in late 2023 on Amazon’s Prime Video in collaboration with the James Bond franchise producers, EON Productions.
Cox is currently starring — or (spoiler alert!) very recently starred – within the fourth and final season of the HBO hit drama, “Succession.”
The Scottish actor played Logan Roy, the irascible patriarch of a worldwide media dynasty whose children compete to take over the family business.
The series is so popular that Roy’s death within the third episode of the season was memorialized with a real-life obituary in the Los Angeles Times the day after it aired.
While chatting with Entertainment Tonight last month, Cox agreed with series’ creator and showrunner, Jesse Armstrong, that now could be the best time for the Roy family’s story to return to an in depth.
“I feel we’ve, you understand, got to the purpose where the show has reached its natural closure,” he told the outlet.
“Jesse won’t let anything go on further than it must,” Cox continued. “A lot of shows outstay their welcome, and I feel our show is ideal, and neat, in the best way it’s.”
Along with “007’s Road to a Million,” it was recently announced that Cox will star in a latest coming-of-age film for Paramount+, called “Little Wing,” in keeping with Deadline.
The finale of “Succession” will air in May.
