It’s having supernatural success.
“The Exorcist: Believer” landed within the No. 1 spot on the box office on Friday, its opening night.
The sequel to 1973’s “The Exorcist” and the sixth film within the horror franchise raked in only over $11.9 million, in accordance with IMDB’s Box Office Mojo.
The Post called the slasher flick — which stars Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair reprising their roles from the unique — “a dud” and “awful.”
“PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” remained in second place with near $2.9 million in sales.
Kim Kardashian, who voiced the character Delores within the 2021 original, returned for the sequel and this time was joined by her two eldest children North and Saint West, who also lent their voices to characters.
“Saw X,” which was in first place last week, got here in third, earning $2.4 million.
Sci-fi motion thriller “The Creator,” which was within the number three spot last week, moved down a notch to fourth with a just over $1.7 million take.
“The Blind,” which centers around “Duck Dynasty’s” Phil Robertson’s early infidelities and alcohol addiction that threatened to tear his family apart, got here in fifth, taking home just over $1 million.
The biographical drama, which was produced by Willie Robertson, Phil’s son, also chronicles the redemption Phil found through his Christian faith.
“The response has been phenomenal,” Willie told the Shreveport Times.
“Stories are beginning to pour in of standing ovations, baptisms and post movie gatherings everywhere in the country.”
