Singer Bebe Rexha was photographed Friday night wearing protective goggles in the course of the second to last show of her “Best F’n Night Of My Life” tour after the singer was struck in the attention by a fan who hurled a cellular phone at her.
Rexha, 33, donned the shades and sparkly blue top while performing her hit song “I’m Good.”
Prior to wearing the superhero-esq shades, the “Say my name” singer told audience members she only had two rules for the night: Don’t throw phones and have a good time.
The high-energy show featured several of Rexha’s hits including “I’m Not High, I’m in Love,” “Miracle Man,” and “I’m a Mess and Sacrifice.”
A clip of the singer wearing the goggles was posted on social media where several of the singer’s fans appeared delighted on the singer’s latest accessory.
“Wearing them safety glasses cause she ain’t playing no more,” commented one user.
“Osha approved safety glasses,” laughed a second person referring to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
One user called the usage of the goggles a “smart move” while one other complimented Rexha on ending the tour off strong.
The Post reached out to Rexha for comment.
Rexha’s latest fashion statement got here after she was forced to cancel the rest of her show in Latest York and required three stitches after a crazed fan hurled a cellular phone and hit the singer right in the attention.
Nonetheless, the singer got back up on stage in the course of the Philadelphia leg of the tour and joked that while they were all there to have a superb time “just no phones on my face tonight please, I urge of you.”
The person, identified as 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, was later detained by police and charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment.
In accordance with police, Malvagna claimed that he thought throwing the phone on the pop star can be “funny.”
Rexha’s assault is one among a string of comparable on-stage attacks.
Days later, Ava Max, 29, sustained a watch injury while performing in Los Angeles after a fan managed to get on stage and slap the “Not Your Barbie Girl” singer.
Country singer Kelsea Ballerini, 29, was also attacked on the stage by a fan who chucked a bracelet on the “If You Go Down” singer forcing her to halt the show while.
The country singer issued a press release Thursday via Instagram stating that she was positive and healing.
“Hi. I’m positive,” wrote the singer. ”Someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the attention and it more or so just scared me than hurt me.”
“All of us could have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what’s shown,” continued Ballerini. ” And that’s why I walked offstage to calm down and make sure that myself, band and crew, and the group felt secure to proceed.”
“That’s all I ever want, is for shows to feel like a secure place for us all. I like you and appreciate all the priority,” said Ballerini before adding that she plans to make the last two shows of her tour the “best yet.”
The shocking moment went viral mere minutes after Ballerini departed the stage following a fast chat together with her violinist who rushed over to envision on the singer.
“Can we just speak about what happened,” Ballerini asked the group when she returned to the stage. “All I care about is keeping everyone secure. If you happen to ever don’t feel secure, please let someone around you understand.”
It’s currently unknown if the person responsible was apprehended by authorities.
