As staffing shortages continue at major airlines, more problems arise amid the travel nightmare. Named airmageddon, tens of thousands of pieces of luggage from all over the world are stranded at different airports. Grant Whitson waited three weeks for his baggage to return to his Bakersfield, California, home. A California couple was also caught up in airmageddon. One of their bags traveled to six destinations before they received it.

The luggage traveled more than the owner!
That's why you only take carry on
Lmao
They selling all that at the unclaimed luggage stores after the pick up the best items.
AA : 14DAYS…SPIRIT AIRLINES: 30DAYS. LUGGAGE INSURANCE: $5
Wish i was a bag now
My parents mexico luggage got put in the Hong Kong lane at the Guille paris Airport…They only saw it after waiting 2 hours and casually walking past it while going to the front to complain 😍😍
Hey sounds like that luggage had a good time. You should thank them
I was at O’Hare and after more than an hour my baggage still hasn’t came out. I looked through the conveyor curtain, there was only one guy unloading for multiple flights at the same carousel.
Lol "staffing shortages"
Yeah bro nobody is willing to work for scraps anymore. Pay people right and the problem will go away.
Oh no! My niece came back from Europe today.Hope she has hers but I doubt it.I hope all luggage is returned to everyone soon!
So, if i put the air tags on my luggage and tell the staff to find it out seeing the location. Will they help me out or they will just knock it off?
That doorbell noise not only tricked both of my dogs, but my husband too. He actually opened the door. My dogs were cuddling with me. Ugh, stop using doorbell sounds!
AirCanada is the worst about losing bags. Overall worst airline, never fly aircanada.
I work for a major airline, I’ve been receiving loads of bags for my local passengers coming back from Europe. It’s been a mess trying to track or request luggage on behalf of passengers. Luckily we receive most international bags within a few days unlike these people
This luggages getting free flights I’m jealous lol
I work for the baggage department at JFK terminal one ,it doesn’t take that long to receive that back, he’s case was different if it took 3 weeks.
My luggage has been missing in Florence for 26 days
Pay the airline workers more money. Don't check your bag!!can't swing it,don't bring it!!
Unclaimed baggage about to be happy and rich
Came here from the trash taste podcast. They flew in to the states from Japan. Their bags worth more than $10k never made it in 😕. This was from the beginning of the month btw. They just got a call saying one of the bags was found but they have no idea where the other is.
Imagine seeing the thumbnail and spotting your lost luggage. 🥴
Blame the airlines for laying a bunch of people off so they could get funding from all the covid stuff —- but didn’t hire back all the staff they let go. Serves the airlines right. How does it feel….
how does this even happen
As a former airline employee (1980's) I have never checked a bag.
That poor bag was stressed out by the time it got back to LA. Jet lag, confused, lonely, missed the whole vacation. Lol
Sadly I was one of these people with my trip to Nigeria. Didn’t get my luggage until the final week of the trip.
I booked a flight in august, and I am absolutely terrified of this happening, I will try my best to put everything into a carryon but honestly don't see it working out for me.
I’ll pay extra for carryon luggage, thanks.
This is outrages, the airports needs to do their jobs, it’s very simple just pack and unpack it from the aircraft and send it to the terminal. They need to be held responsible.
There is a gps tracker for luggage that you can put inside your luggage, you can track it and know exactly where it is. Make things easier for you and use it.
Wow….. I can't even imagine how many people had to wait for their luggages just to come back to them after being lost, good thing i don't have any plans to travel for the time being.
oh its like my package that literally went on a world tour due to covid.
Not only do I feel bad for everyone who lost their luggage, but I was also not one of them. I never left my luggage whenever I flew into Orlando, Denver, Philadelphia, or Salt Lake City Utah.
My first trip to Paris and the airline lost all of my luggage. After months of follow up (numerous calls and emails), I finally received compensation for my lost items. From now on, I'm never flying with anything larger than a carry-on. You can't trust airlines to safely transport your items or to take responsibility when they make mistakes.
GREAT job 🇺🇸!!! Have to thank the millions of noncontributing members of society that would rather take stimulus checks and govt funds rather than WORK
Ya mine is somewhere in Berlin airport, went there to try and get it and they had 3 massive rooms filled with thousands of bags
i wouldve gone to lebanon this summer to see family, But after seeing all of this im going to be visiting in november
I just read a news headline that a flying passenger claims an airline lost over 70K worth of equipment that he checked in.
After learning his luggage went missing he filed a lost luggage claim and he was told his stuff was found by an agent that later had taken that claim back and corrected to state his luggage is indeed lost.
The flying passenger has been waiting for airline compensation for over 30 days since first claimed.
The moral of the story is this:
QUIT BEING A FLYING PASSENGER CHEAPSKATE AND HAVE YOUR STUFF SHIPPED AS FREIGHT!
Trash taste is malding rm
I have been waiting for my luggage since july 4
AIRMAGEDDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's why I choose to drive to driving distance
