Is it even real? Not the pre-recorded?
We already saw this Black Mirror
Idk why people find death to be so bad, like yes you can be sad that someone isn't here anymore but death will happen,, you will die, I will die, your mom will die and your children will die it will happen it's a a guarantee, we should be happy that when the person dies they have completed the scary part, the unknown, it's over for them they are in the place we will all go where ever that may be, the ground (or oven) or heaven.
Imagine the day when we're not only able to leave our pre-recorded messages via AI on a computer. But rather, the day when we're able to download our whole AI personality onto a computer/robot after we die…
Bringing imaginary god to this mess is embarassing
Pretty cool!!!
Can do the same thing with a VHS tape.
I tried the Bill Shatner AI on their website. Pretty impressive
If these are pre-recorded responses, they could have visited her and asked her themselves. Take grandchildren when they were alive rather than make a freak show like this after they pass away.
Fake story. This isn't that magical. Did you ever see the movie "Clueless"? This is about as "advanced" as the software she had for choosing her outfits.
In fact, that was a little more advanced than this, because it also appeared to generate the finished outfit…unless she really modeled every single outfit, which I guess is also possible…
Anyway, this is just searching databases, in real time. No A.I. trickery. Her face and words are real and her own.
Just prerecorded not deepfake, so it's cool. How amazing would it be to ask question to an ancester from a hundred years ago ?
I've worked in ElderCare for 30 years. It is our hands your parents & grandparents hold when they tearfully ask us why you dumped them here, don't visit them & never even talk to them on the phone. I have the same response to this as I do when you recognize me in the store or when I'm out with my own family & stop me to ask how your loved one is doing.
Go visit them. I can guarantee that they will be so happy to see you that your visit is all they will talk about for weeks. To everybody. Instead of waiting for this none feeling computer generated response from your loved one go spend real time with them while you still can. All those questions you will sit there wishing you could've asked them while they were here put your technology down & go ask them now.
When my Uncle dies I want to ask his A.I. what his thoughts are on black people and see if I can finally get the truth out of him
This is somewhat scary, not for the deceased, but the living. I can see this leading to a lot of people not being able to sort out their grief properly, and not letting people go.
I blame Elon Musk and other doomers for making the term "AI" a dirty word. If you actually watched the video you'll know it's just pre-recorded messages that an AI sorts through and finds the best clip of when prompted with a question. This is actually a very useful tool for closure but everyone in the comments would rather start a "black mirror is real" circlejerk about AI, a concept they clearly don't understand very well, but are parroting because someone else said so.
The answers are obviously only what they want to hear. I bet the old lady would have hated all of them for this stunt and would have told them to F*** OFF AND LEAVE HER ALONE. She's dead. This is highly disrespectful.
Its an AI zombie of the person you loved with quirky hipster californian music soundtrack to boot 😀
It’s a great idea but it doesn’t have meaning. Well, at least for me. Like some people won’t have the closure that they need because it’s not her words. I don’t know if I’m making sense
i want to do this so i can have a conversation with myself 🤓
I thought this was a real AI, but its just pre-recorded responses.
This isn't really A.I.
At it's core, it's a search database query program designed to retrieve the most appropriate video files according to the keywords in the question.
It's essentially Google Search specific to one person.
Boring questions…generic answers. Same old trick from hundreds of years ago
Back then it was rip of oracles…now it's rip off ai technology
Grandchild: how is heaven like?
“AI” grandma: “ERROR ERROR ERROR “
grandchild:”umm do you prefer ketchup or mustard grandma”
“AI” grandma: “ERROR ERROR ERROR CANNOT COMPUTE”
Just don't ask me did I like my sister's potato salad 🤢🤣
Fascinating use of AI!
I mean they did the same thing in the movie " I robot "
“I’m sorry my responses are limited you must ask the right question”
If it’s really what he says it is and not some crazy deepfake machine learning project then it’s not even worth making a news video about it. What he’s describing is something you would get as a midterm project for a freshman computer programming class.
This a simulation of a person. Smoke and mirrors like a high tech ilusionist. Is it ethical that living relatives engage with it? What they consider the AI model is?
This is so fake/. It’s prerecord !
As amazing as this sounds I think it could make it more difficult to let go the person who passed away…..Death is a natural process and it happens to us all I personally may live to over a hundred(longevity runs in my family) my point is eventually my body will cease to function and when that happens I want all the people who loved me to keep me in their hearts and minds not in a digital representation of what I once was! Is not healthy folks!.
What if someone forges her will.?
So until now the future generations had the freedom and possibility to explore the world on there own and develop their own intellect, not being affected by their past generation's work and ideologies but now that would be changed, it would be great if the past generations record only good teachings, but if they would record some negative ideologies like racism, Orthodoxy, etc then I fear what would happen to the upcoming generations. 😒
AI won't be able to comprehend the level of sarcasm I have so people who know me know that my answers would be too nice and it's not really me lol.
Nope.
This drives me crazy! So many examples of developers recently that are calling this type of programming "AI" when they know very well that it's not actually AI at all! They're just doing it to get people excited about their work, and hopefully make more money.
It's pre-recorded video. Ask a question not pre-recorded…then you have something.
Maybe just talk to them when they are alive?
I wonder what the response would be if the question is not defined in their database?
“I’m sorry; my responses are limited. You must ask the right questions.”
This is beyond macabre
